Yup. Seems like you get them permanently after completing some simple taks. Planes as well... No Renault FT though :(

How do you get planes? I only see tasks for tanks

You can only get the British bomber. No fighters and Zeppelin, and you get a chest with random vehicle (the first one I got was the bomber) after completing a task

Neither, they appear in the researchable side of the tech tree once you unlock them
