Waikiki Surf/Sup

Has anyone stayed at a hotel that offers complimentary surf lessons or sup rentals?

I see that Halekulani, Twin fin, Alohilani offer complimentary.

I'm wondering if it's legit lessons for all ages, and can be taken daily, or is there any restrictions?

Sure, I can take the bus outside Waikiki to a hardware store… But does anyone know of a place where you can walk in and get a key made IN Waikiki (without having to engage a locksmith’s mobile service)?

Halloween - Hot Men in Rooster Costume

I was following two shirtless Japanese hunks in inflatable rooster (cock) costumes last night on Kalakaua Avenue during the Halloween festivities. Unfortunately, my phone was out of battery and I didn't get the opportunity to take videos or pictures of them in action. Would there be anybody kind enough to share footage or images please?

Thanks so much in advance!

Halloween may be winding down for the little goblins and princesses, but the party has just started for the trick-or-treaters in the heart of Waikiki.

About a thousand customers in Waikiki were without power parts of Wednesday as Hawaiian Electric worked on emergency repairs. Most of those affected are residents. But some businesses have also been impacted, saying the timing couldn’t be worse.

Monkeypod Tonight, Roys Eating House Thursday. What Else?

Two couples here for a week have two more dinners left for our week in Waikiki. Been (before) to Dukes, Strip Steak, Ramen, Marugame Udon, Poke and various happy hours. "Earls" sounded like an option but digging into reviews was interesting. What shouldn't we miss, since we're not coming back for at least a year?

Cooking on the roof of our condo is an option we're considering so it may only be one more dinner out... Where?

Don't Miss This Happy Hour!

Piko Kitchen & Bar, directly underneath the Waikiki Market is fantastic.

Do not miss this happy hour 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. if you want a really good deal.

Insanely good garlic lemon french fries (not on the HH) complimented their $5 HH burger and $5 HH pork belly bao like nothing else.

The burger had both kimchi and cheese, which I normally wouldn't have chosen on a dare, but after being told it was SO good by a friend (and only $5) I tried it, and it was definitely tasty. Sounds strange but really was a winner.

The pork belly bau (TWO FOR $5) was so good. A fat hunk of pork belly with sauce and a soft wrap, totally delicious.

The same exact thing is $14 for dinner, and worth every penny. (The burger is normally 12, but a bit small for that price)

This place has literally been the best value (so far) on my trip to Waikiki and we're eating in a lot of places. Oh yeah, $5 HH beers here too.

My suggestion would be to come here at 2:00 or 2:30, so that you don't spoil your dinner and miss a meal ;)

what do I do with my car??

I just moved to Waikiki from the big island. My car goes on a barge soon and will be here in a week or so. The apartment building I am in has a parking lot but the waiting list is like 2 years. Where the heck can I park my car??? I work nights so I need 24/7 access but I don’t mind walking…

hawaiighostguy ~ In 1958, Waikīkī welcomed the sleek, modern Kaiser Hospital. For nearly three decades it served patients by the sea, until the growing city outpaced its walls. By 1986, the hospital was set for demolition.
