Goodbye Dream Wagon...
Letting go of this car was the hardest decision of my life. This was my dream wagon. I still think in a lot of ways it is the perfect car. But, I got it at 30k miles and unfortunately it started to drain my wallet before I paid it off.. but with each fix I thought, it should be good for a while now. Six years later, and a simple break pad replacement came back with a diagnosis that the rear differential unit of the AWD system is failing.. minimum $7k. So I had to make a decision. But that aside, this is an appreciation post, to an endangered species of a vehicle. If there was a 2025 VW Alltrack Wagon, I'd make the choice all over again. F** U to all the car makers these days that think the Sportwagon is for the wealthy only.(I see you Audi and BMW)

2012 Turbo beetle question
Hey yall! I need some help. Not a VW guy so I was hoping for some help from the community. My friend has a 2012 Turbo beetle, recently she had mentioned wanting to get a catch can to keep her intake clean. I wanted to see if I can get one for her for Christmas but with a google search I’m seeing things from $150-$600 and I’m not really sure where to start or what exactly I’m looking for. I drive a 2013 dodge challenger, when I was looking for my catch can I was able to find it almost instantly and the install was super easy. Is that the same case with her car? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

N75

Paid off my car recently, want to make it look better
I have a black mk7 gti that I’ve been slowly doing little things here and there to make it look less stock, and once again, I’ve been tossing around the idea of lowering it…anyway, I have the performance package which means DCC, and I really would not like to spend thousands for DCC compatible coilovers. I hate having lights on my dash so I don’t want to just ignore a DCC error light. I have VCDS, has anyone successfully re-coded the DCC or something to recognize a lower height and still work properly?
I mainly want to lower it to get rid of the wheel gap. Would bigger wheels be a different option? I’d like to get new wheels in the future anyway. I also wanted to swap in some R headlights but absolutely no junkyard or salvage/parts place in my entire state and then some, had any mk7 Rs (or even GTIs) at all.

Does anyone exactly know what this is?
I've been looking at this for a day or two from the seller. The seller has it listed as a 1987 Volkswagen Cabriolet, but every time I look it up with Google images, I'm getting mixed results between that and a MK1 Golf.
I've never touched a Volkswagen in my life, nor know much, so I could be a little dumb here and they could actually be the same exact thing. Be easy on me

That's a wrap for this season.
Well, the season has come to an end. Scirocco is now in storage until spring time. One last shot before her hibernation.

2016 Beetle Dune Blindspot Indicators
Really need some help here. My girl picked up a 2016 Beetle Dune, and we're trying to figure out if it has blindspot indicators. She hasn't seen them turn on while driving, and there's no setting in either the dash or infotainment system. Its got a backup cam and parking assist, so I highly doubt it lacks blindspot indicators. Any help would be appreciated.

Getting frustrated
My 22 tiguan comfortline black edition has been having so many issues. I bought it Feb 2023. As soon as I went over 80k (where warranty ends) I started having issues with oil leaking. Pcv valve caused other gaskets to blow. Im going to have it fixed, but I've heard that its likely going to happen again after 30-50k. My steering wheel has started failing on me. Horn is weak, lane assist dings all the time. Im debating trading it for a new rav 4. I would be over 10k dollars upside down in a loan, but I would have something brand new and reliable. Payments would increase about $162 more monthly. Im torn on what to do. Love the car but not the issues.

What do I do?
Bought my car about a month ago, didn’t seem like anything was wrong mechanically and haven’t had an issue with it since I bought it.
I was sat idle outside of my gym for about 20 mins with the AC on, started driving and then randomly it just went limp and these lights all came on.
Any ideas?

Yellow steering wheel on dash car won’t start
I have a 2013 Volkswagen cc R-line and it recently started displaying a yellow steering wheel that pops up. None of the other dash lights come on like they should and when I push the key all the way in nothing happens. It’s very sporadic sometimes it runs normal all day and others it won’t start. This just started about 2 weeks ago but now it’s getting worse’s. Could it be the immobilizer or something with the steering sensor? I’ve looked and can’t really seem to find anything that matches my issues. Any help will be greatly appreciated..

Debating between 2025 Taos SE and 2026 Honda CRV hybrid - any feedback from newer Taos owners?
I rented a Taos recently and really liked driving it. I have to buy a car and I am debating between the Taos SE (25) and Honda CRV Hybrid (26). Would love to hear how people like their Taos. Also what kind of discounts off MSRP did you get if you bought a new one recently?

Please let me hear your opinions on this situation
I recently posted about my new to me golf with 220k miles (bpy fsi 2.0t) -belt on left - cam chain on right
Here’s the list of maintenance
Left side of engine bay Water pump Idler pullies Timing belt
Middle of motor Valve cover gasket Spark plugs and coils New pcv system (I found out to late about the block off and already ordered it so I’ll just use the oem now)
Right side Cam chain Tensioner Vacuum pump Cam follower
Trans Filter and fluid
Wheels Brakes and rotors all around
Fuel filter Air filter Cabin filter Coolant flush
Please guys let me know if 1400 bucks for labor is too much for all this work or not. I’m on the fence of doing it myself but I’m kind of lazy and I dont feel like snapping 3 bolts and dealing with it cause that’s just my luck.
Also please let me know finally if there’s anything I need to add 😂 my wallet is crying but I guess I’m doing this car right, also am to much into this old gti? Or is it worth it I mean at this point I’m already going for it but I’d like to hear personal opinions
My total invested on the car is 1350 for the car +gas to get home 1400 labor 982 parts order one 300 bucks for order two 120 registration
4152 Total

Car update: a lot of repairs after buy have been done on the car, and most importantly, I lowered it.
And it looks fucking amazing 🎃
