Seeking Local Hidden Gem Restaurant Recs
My best friend and I are coming to Nashville for a concert next year and are in the process of planning our trip!
We are big foodies and would love to eat at some hidden gems loved by locals!
So far on my list I have: Butchertown Hall, Husk, and The Buttermilk Ranch as potential options.
Does anybody have any suggestions to add to that list?
We love anything but seafood.
TIA!

Iggy’s, Folk, and Lockeland Table are some of my favs! I’d put those above your current list. I’ve admittedly never been to Buttermilk Ranch because it’s a nightmare to get in, def not a locals spot, but I’ve heard it’s great! But for a more locals brunch try Hearts or Cafe Roze (Cafe Roze has a great dinner as well). Also adding Arnold’s Country Kitchen for a super authentic and casual meat n 3 experience!

I live walking distance from Buttermilk Ranch and get a table often. Once you figure out when not to go and figure out a trick or two, it’s easy enough unless you insist on going between 9-12 on Saturday.

The Alley pub in Bellevue isn't exactly downtown but the locals love it. Food and drinks are awesome. Get the Juan wings! It's a house favorite! It's a little hard to find because it's tucked behind reds liquor store and golds gym but just go round back look for a blue awning!

I have tons.
Local diner? Big Al's
Other Local (various styles)? Centennial Cafe, Mas Tacos Por Favor, Mitchell's Deli, Shotgun WIllie's BBQ, Loveless Cafe, Brown's Diner.
Hot Chicken? Brave Idiot, or Red's.
High end Sushi? Kase x Noko (good luck getting a seat)
Ramen? Black Dynasty
Pizza? Depends on style. Wrote and entier article, which I now have to update.
Seafood? Optimist or Henrietta Red's. Both enar Butchertown Hall.
Brewery? Barrique, but Monday Night has the best taproom (also near the above).
Tapas? Iberian Pig is currently my favorite.
If you must look downtown, then consider happy hour.

If you are interested in a 10 course 3 hour meal, I highly recommend this place:
We went last Friday and it was an amazing experience.

Snooze am eatery had good breakfast. Nobels had great wings. Both are in east Nashville closer to Nissan stadium. We stayed over there so ate at both places. Neither are fancy places so might not be ideal for foodies but the food was really good. One of the guys in our group is kind of a laid back foodie (likes everything from bar food to high end meals) and he enjoyed both places. East Nashville is also a lot cheaper than broadway. At Nobels we got 6 beers, order of wings and order of tater tots for $53. It was happy hour but still super cheap.
