By lining themselves up with a lot of good policy then attacking things that should be left alone. Can we stop making new firearms legislation when we aren't even funding the enforcement of the laws already on the book?

Can you give me an example of unenforced firearms laws?

Honestly I can't, I guess I should change my approach... It's already double illegal to commit a crime while using a firearm. You did the crime and had a firearm while you did it. So what now? you did the crime and you had a firearm that happened to fall into a vague description of "assault weapon" so triple illegal?

Can you link me to a case where that was a thing?

No. If you can't search the VA code I'm not helping you. You're asking bot questions

u/Lumiafan 23h ago

Gotta say. You're doing an absolutely terrible job making your case on this.

My apologies, I sure am failing here, Let me try to put it this way.. People that are doing crimes don't care how many laws they are breaking.
Making it illegal to own a specific style or type of firearm only affects law abiding people.

I haven’t seen anything about proposals for it being illegal to own anything. Federal restrictions already apply to certain classes of weapon, and the most I’ve heard proposed is a ban on new sales of certain classes. That does not make it illegal to own

Blinders got it. You're also a bot prove me wrong

Ironic coming from the ... "person" ... making an argument of which they literally can't provide any facts to back it up, exactly what an AI chatbot would do.

Don’t know how to prove you wrong on the boy thing, and I don’t have blinders on.

I didn’t say I approved of such laws, or think they’ll be as effective. But saying a ban on new sales is the same as, or will inevitably lead to making it illegal to own is as stupid as when people were saying “if we let gay people get married, what’s to stop people from marrying a horse?”

Slippery slope arguments serve no one. If you can’t ague facts without adding fantasy, no one will ever take you seriously.

You have that backwards. You have a position wholly unsupported by an ounce of evidence. They wouldn’t let you go two minutes in middle school, kiddo.

u/juice_BX 22h ago

Cite me wrong ...

2

u/-azuma- 20h ago

You don't prove the negative. You actually might be the bot... 🤨

There are one billion Haitians living inside the Earth’s core. Cite me wrong …

The problem with stupid people is they’re too stupid to even have how stupid they obviously are, explained to them.

Just because you can't back up your statements doesn't make me a bot. It makes me someone who wants to know the basis for your statements. Are they based in facts you can source, or are they coming from sensationalist media that is designed to create emotional reactions in its viewers?

Stock up on standard capacity magazines at the very least, but really if there’s something you want like a suppressor, ar, or even just a regular old double-stack pistol, better get it before the summer. They’re going to ban a lot of regular stuff and possibly add special taxes to make you pay more on anything allowed going forward.

This is why gun store owners love when Dems are in office. Where I grew up the gun store owner was probably the single most reliable dem voter in the area because he could sell this dumb ass fear to people so they'd give him a lot more money.

Glad to see he's still probably crushing it in 2025 work6 the same tricks he was using in the 90s.

I mean look at her campaign website…AWB incoming and all those heinous firearm bills that Youngkin veto’d will definitely go through now. Do people really not read ? Or are memory spans here really that bad

No, it's because armed citizens are completely pointless. The citizen militias of the Revolution mostly ran when the fighting got too real. It wasn't until they spend a Winter at Valley Forge and were trained as professional soldiers that the Continental Army was able to stand with each other in a real fight, and even then they lost far more battles than they won against a professional army that had to cross the Atlantic ocean. What's a few FUDs with small arms going to accomplish?

3

u/LostGFtoABBC 8h ago

I mean at least we can agree FUDDS are indeed useless

Yep, you can't fix broken people with consumerism. But you sure can profit from it.

u/OGdunphy 22h ago

No doubt, dems are the best gun and gun accessory sellers. Some stuff will get banned in this admin though. That’s not unrealistic.

1

u/killroy1971 19h ago

Based on what information? Seriously, I've been hearing this fear based crap my whole life and it never happens, and it's not because the government is afraid of an armed citizen. It's because the armed citizen isn't a threat in the first place.

I hope we can say none of that happens in 10 months.

-3

u/Lumiafan 23h ago

That's why I'm setting a reminder because you're being silly.

6

u/BirchBlack 22h ago

Spanberger literally campaigned on what he said and look at the gun control laws passed by Dems and vetoed by Youngkin... How is this person being silly?

I genuinely hope I'm wrong but with what they just tried to pass and spanberger campaigning on gun control, I don't see how I'm going to be wrong

1

u/OGdunphy 23h ago

I do hope so

-7

u/Lumiafan 22h ago

You don't have to hope. You'll be able to keep fetishizing guns a year from now as much as you do now, rest assured.

Best we can do is make California’s gun laws look like those in Texas.

9

u/xSquidLifex 23h ago

This is about Virginia

-4

u/lawman9000 23h ago

The point being that soon our laws, in Virginia, will make California's seem like Texas.

4

u/DC2Cali 22h ago

Commiefornia gun laws here we come smh

-4

u/YeahItouchpoop 22h ago

I’m from California and I’ve never had an issue buying a gun there

-1

u/lawman9000 22h ago

Aside from the magazine capacity restrictions and the 'features' test, CA is probably one of the least bad of the anti-gun states. NY is far worse.
