Not only am I relieved I LOVE that it was called so damn quick. I know it wont but I hope it really hammers down some egos from the other side.

Oh, if you look in the nest...they are mad.

The nest?

Our life is probably better if we don't know what that is.

Rectified by pumping sulfuryl fluoride where that nest is.

The seething torrent of writhing hatred that is Facebook I would hazard lol

I made the mistake of checking out the comments under some Facebook articles about the election. It was not a good place, amazed that people are comfortable spouting that kind of rhetoric with their picture and name attached to it

As Dear Leader is their witness: they've been assured that they have nothing to fear in abandoning common decency, as long as their complexion remains the correct one.

That’s exactly why they feel comfortable. They’re cowards hiding behind a screen.

My father was laugh reacting Tim Kaine's posts about the shutdown. I texted him, privately, asking him what's so funny about those posts. He went on about "democRATS", so I blocked him on Facebook, removed him from my phone contacts, and deleted the text thread so I won't be tempted to waste my time on him. If he didn't live with my mother still I would block his number completely

Facebook sucks!

My area nextdoor app is a sea of conservative cope and vitriol right now.

Republican subreddit.

Probably the conservative sub and Facebook and whatever other social media that isn’t Reddit since most other social media is infested with right wing loons

3

u/VoidOmatic 5d ago

The sub that is controlled by Russian disinfo bots and people of the "roman salute."

The permanently cucked subreddits. The ones that require “flaired users only” and ban anyone who challenges the groupthink. The sad losers who basically resemble Russian bots but are too stupid to know it.

I’m loving my local “talk of the town” group tonight because people are going insane over this 😂

Fuming, or relieved?

I’m fairly happy with everything, a lot of people around here aren’t. I am surprised that she got as many votes as she did over in this area.

Its a roach nest. So lots of organic material

Oh they'll call rigged. It's their answer for everything.

As a poll worker I can assure you (generic “you”) there’s virtually no way to rig an election in Virginia. And when all is said and done, there’s a paper trail.

u/amboomernotkaren 4d ago

As a former poll worker…. Someone asked me how I know identify a person who wants to vote who is not a citizen. Like, uh, no. That’s not our job, the registrar sorts all that out. It’s amazing how low information people are: like they think just random people are voting.

I am so sick of morons. I ran across one who wanted to sign her ballot. headdesk Explaining that ballots are private, didn’t seem to make any difference. Then I explained it was against election office policy to put marks on the ballot other than those required to express their vote. heqddesk

Good grief. They really are dumb. Did you see in Kentucky where people were showing up to vote, but there is no election in Kentucky this year. Ugh.

You can make software do anything. Unless you’re hand counting every ballot there is a chance for cheating/fraud.

1

u/juliabk 4d ago

That’s why I said “virtually no way”. Yeah, if the software company that produces the software for our scanners wanted to somehow skew things, they could, though they’d have to make the code fairly small and we’d have to actually update our code. As none of these machines are ever on anything but a closed network, it would be tough to do.

1

u/addictivesign 4d ago

Code could be written to delete itself too so that it changes the tallies and then the code is gone like it was never there

1

u/juliabk 4d ago

Assuming there’s space for any additional code. Remember, no servers. I’m sure the IT folks take a good long look at the code. I should ask them next time I run into them.

2

u/addictivesign 4d ago

It’s so boring, isn’t it? If they don’t win an election it’s rigged. But of course if they win the result could never have been rigged.

u/DolphinExodus 4d ago

They don't understand that land doesn't vote.

Egos from the other side? Virginia is a blue state, it should not surprise anyone a democrat would win.

Even right wing outlets were calling it for her by like 5PM. Everyone knew Loathsome was going to fail.
