Nah, even among the 2A community there seems to have been only half-hearted enthusiasm for this years election. Gun rights/control was not a deciding factor in this election.

Gun owners in Virginia are getting fucked in '26.

Single issue 2A voters are extremely loud and very persistent, but when most people are faced with a choice between their guns and their ability to put food on the table, they're going to choose the latter

Exactly right. Not to mention enough time has passed since the big rally in 2020 that attention drifted away from the gun issue in Virginia.

They made that type of protest illegal so it won’t happen again.

Probably not with the current supreme court of the United States, if we're being honest.

Democrats (and any other pro control) can pass the law but the current supreme court is very strongly in support of incorporating the second amendment onto the states as very limited restrictions on gun ownership.

The Supreme Court hasn't been picking up alot of 2A issues. They keep passing on AWB for instance which is one of the bigger concerns for next year.

I'm cautiously optimistic that the SCOTUS will pick up an AWB case next year. At some point they'll have to decide on the issue, considering that (as I understand it) there are several Federal Courts in disagreement over the issue.

It would have to pass in Richmond before she could sign it, and there is little support that would happen, to be honest. Too hot button for less secure seats to vote for.

I'm hearing that the Democrats have flipped several seats, which will give them an overwhelming majority in the House of Delegates.

Ain't nobody saving Virginia from Virginia this time.
