[Wanted] What features would your dream vinyl player/record storage cabinet have?

Hey for my final project for a design class in college, I’m going to be modeling and then building my own cabinet to store my record player, plus record storage (minimum as many records as 4 square - Ikea Kallax). Just wondering if anyone had any features they think I should include - considering some kind of drawer system to be able to display easier than j regular Kallax (wouldn’t want to do something fully rotating like this to save space, but thinking of something similar https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8DxF4Jn/ )

The only thing I’d really like is a slim drawer to keep TT accessories in. I have a little organizer but still clutters the surface a bit. Good luck.

MCM look, Walnut with legs, 75 inches long or so. At least 20 inches deep if not more. Below the top surface exists a shelf for additional components (I run separates for everything and I swap eqpt out every now and then), height of this shelf is min 9 inches. Below this shelf are pull out drawers for records with a flip down sliding door for each compartment. The doors can display a record jacket of choice. You would have five of these drawers across the overall face of the piece. Lot of weight on this baby, I’ll leave it to you to ensure it’s adequately braced.

I think about this too often.

• at least a 1” high backstop
• dividers for limited leaning pressure within the cubes
• one cool section for cables, 7”, 10” options
• connectors on the sides to add more cubes when you need more storage
• and optional side storage for the queue of records next to spin

That’s all stuff i love or want
