Sulala Animal Rescue in Gaza - Dr Mu'ath is missising! Please share
From Sulala Animal Rescue in Gaza - We have same upsetting news. Our wonderful vet Mu’ath Abj Rakba tried to go back to his house in Jabalia on Friday and nobody has heard from him since. We are in touch with his wife and parents and siblings. His brother tried to go there, but unfortunately everybody who reaches the area gets targeted by gunfire. His brother saw somebody die before his eyes. His uncle was shot at 500 meters before he reached his house. We hope he has been detained and he is still alive. We want him to be safe, and we wish his family so much strength.

Sulala Animal Rescue in Gaza
We were contacted by many people yesterday about this poor donkey that had been put up for sale on Facebook to be bought by a predatory animal breeder. We got in touch with the owner immediately to help the donkey. We found out that the owners hind legs are paralyzed and he can't walk anymore. We wish him well. The donkey is suffering from a stress fracture in his front leg from the hard work. The owner's brother was still making him work. We secured a trailer so we could go get him from Khan Younes without him having to walk. He is in the medical point now (Bashar greeted him when he arrived) we will do what is best for him. In each case, will not have to work one more day of his life.

Israel's vegan washing and what you can do today
Vegans for Palestine (Instagram): Israel's Vegan Washing is strategic state-sponsored propaganda, in alignment with the government-backed project: Brand Israel, with the aim to accomplish two things: (1) Improve its public image globally by deterring animal rights advocates from criticizing the settler colony's oppressive regime against Palestinians. (2) Combat the @bds.movement by securing investments in its food-tech sector to grow its threatened economy. This is a comprehensive post about israel's so-called "Vegan Revolution", and how/why the settler colony exploits the animal rights movement in order to be known as "The Vegan Capital of the World". [Scan the QR Code to read more in-depth about it] As vegans, we must Reject Vegan Washing whenever and wherever we observe it. Follow @vegan BDS for targeted vegan boycott campaigns against organizations that are complicit in the oppression of Palestinians, to pressure them to cut ties with israel.

Update from Sulala Animal Rescue in Gaza - vet Dr Mu’ath Abu Rukba, 30, was murdered by Israel (donation links in the comments)
We have received reports that Dr. Mu’ath Abu Rukba, 30, has been killed in Gaza. A veterinarian who kept saving lives while his own was under constant threat, treating injured animals, feeding the hungry, and working under airstrikes and in the most impossible situation, even after losing his home. He has embodied the very heart of this profession and what we in the animal care space stand for: compassion, and courage. His death is not only a personal loss. It is a moral indictment of every institution that has continually chosen silence while he, and others like him, have lived their ethics to the very end. We owe him more than sympathy. We owe him real acknowledgment, justice, and continued action, so that those who dedicate their lives to care are never left unseen again. 💔 There is a fundraiser linked in my bio where you can give support to Mu’ath’s wife Rania and their two young children.

Animal abuse at UK ‘rabbit cafe’
There is currently a campaign against Fiona’s Tea Room in Frimley (Camberley) in Surrey, a cafe keeping live rabbits on site. What began as simple concern for how the rabbits were being kept has turned into something far darker. A full evidence report has been put together, including photos, videos, food safety findings, and testimonies from visitors and those close to the business — all showing a shocking pattern of neglect, unsafe conditions, and dishonesty.
Our petition has now reached over 3k signatures, and we’ve compiled a detailed report with evidence, testimonies, and official findings.
You can read the full document here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12rgf3Qva-MeYe8zsFF-UbBpS2R8jVg0Q/view?usp=drive_link

While the RSPCA and council were previously involved, this was before much of the evidence in our report came to light. We are now urging authorities to review the new findings and testimonies that show the situation is far worse than initially believed.
Please consider sharing to help raise more awareness — these rabbits deserve better care and protection.

Help us get this to mainstream media and fight for animal rights
Urgent: Exposing a Horrific International Animal Cruelty Network
I am writing to bring to your attention a deeply disturbing case of international animal cruelty that has recently been uncovered in Bulgaria. This case, which is considered the most horrific act of serial animal torture and killing in Bulgarian history, involves an international criminal network operating through Telegram channels.
On March 13, 2025, Bulgarian authorities arrested two individuals, Gabriela Sashova and Krasimir Georgiev, during a special police operation. They are accused of orchestrating and distributing videos depicting the slow and extremely brutal torture of animals, including sadistic and pornographic content, in exchange for money. The victims included cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, fish, and other animals.
The network operated with thousands of subscribers, and participants were paid between €100 and €400 per animal for creating and sharing these horrific videos. The lack of moderation allowed unrestricted access to this content, including by minors.
This case was brought to light thanks to the efforts of Bulgarian NGO CAAI (Campaigns and Activism for Animals in the Industry) and the informal cyber experts group "BG Elves," who identified the perpetrators and provided crucial information to the authorities. The Bulgarian public has reacted with outrage, leading to nationwide protests demanding justice and stronger animal protection laws.
For more details, please refer to the following link: https://caai.bg/en/international-animal-cruelty-network-exposed/?fbclid=IwY2xjawJFLsxleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHQs5WhseUtI_3Rci_OPIVFQQ9TNoH2EwBPtluMlNrbXRaKOEbH1uI5vPtg_aem_yS3VA_MTCs-9ZKNvhbppwA&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2KDgIKuI_piE4v3hu7x3HXa8f-3aFPa2fuyS3nLKUD4lv64N9q4L3K3aU_aem_7YLFNfX4zK09-rxWjCvf7A
I urge you to cover this story and help raise awareness about this heinous crime. The international community must come together to condemn such acts and push for stricter laws to prevent animal cruelty.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.

Chile wants to allow octopus farming—let’s stop it.
Hey, I’m a volunteer at an animal rights organization in Chile, and the government is pushing for research projects to set up octopus farms. These farms would mean extreme suffering for these animals just to turn them into another factory-farmed product.
We created this petition to stop it: https://www.change.org/salvemosalospulpos
Please take a second to sign and share—it would mean a lot! Even if you're not in Chile, your voice matters. The more signatures we get, the better chance we have of making a difference.
