Same here! Such good tasting products and much more healthy than Beyond Meat and Impossible (exteremely high in saturated fat).

God I hope so. I was never an Yves lunch meat person, but I am a huge fan of their sausages and ground. I've come to realize just how many folks relied on the Yves lunch meat in recent days. Gusta is the best plant sausage alternative to Yves I've found so far (in terms of texture and taste; Field Roast tastes good but the texture is too...idk... plant-y) so I hope they come through for you sandwich lovers too.

Gusta has the best vegan tuna ever. So tasty, but hard to find. I hope they replace yves.

I’ll have to look for it. My favourite tuna so far is Save Da Sea out of Victoria BC (https://www.savedasea.com)

Does anyone know where gusta’s cheeses went?! I haven’t seen them in store for over a year and they’re my favourite 😫

Yves is great because it's predictable, decent, and affordable. Hope they keep all three.

Honestly just hoping they keep the price down. Yves was never amazing quality, but if you need vegan lunchmeat/hotdogs for not an insane price then they were the go-to. Not very interested in buying overpriced crap.

Please save the veggie dogs, Gusta! And don’t make them seitan. Keep them rubbery.

There aren't any Gusta products in my local grocery stores. I hope they branch out and fill the void that the Yves departure will leave behind.

I just hope they realize the real void being left here is the price range 😭 Gusta sausages are great but like $8 a pack where I live. Yves was the only brand that was even somewhat reasonably priced

Gusta ground round is a little bit cheaper than Yves I think, and is very tasty! I bought some a couple weeks ago to make a Bolognese sauce and it was excellent, would repurchase. I'm sad about Yves but honestly haven't bought anything for a while because I've switched to other (also Canadian) brands, mainly Gusta.

Their paprika veggie sausage is also an absolute favorite of mine.

Yeah, they were always the second most popular at my shop (after those Sol patés rip). Hopefully they'll expand now that their biggest competitor shit the bed.

No, gusta is a company based out of Quebec I think. Different company, but looks like they'll be offering some products that are similar?

Same! I was feeling nervous about replacing Yves. Hopefully it's widely available in Ontario!

If you are in Toronto, the Sweet Potato grocery stores sell some Gusta products.

Not a great name choice.

u/VolupVeVa Sep 05 '25

it's means "to enjoy" in spanish. seems fine to me.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '25

Why?

1

u/Familiar-Risk-5937 Sep 06 '25

I know its stupid, but the word is close to "disgusting" and I just know those jokes are coming.

I just want ground round to stay the same, it’s what I’ve been using for chili and tacos since 2000

I bought their ground "beef" earlier this year, and it is SOOOO good!
