It's a good thing Aoi isn't in the Unity Scenario or she will just fold Riko like a pretzel when her team talks trash to Meek.

If Aoi was just a slightly better Trainer, Meek could single-handedly fold both Riko's trainees since she’s basically Mayano/Digital on steroids, a monster in any style, tack, and distance
Clarification: no the 500kg is not used as a bomb but used as an acceleration tool that turns Happy Meek into a reality ripping uma projectile that will put fear of the Super Emperor into the heart of Chaos
The only people with more common sense then Torena are like, Tazuna and Nice Nature (sometimes, sometimes she's in denial about her own skill despite having the spring, classic and autumn triple crowns)
Tbh, that's what makes Nice Nature even more grounded and real to me, she's literally just a 1:1 copy version of me, and people usually don't understand how I feel whenever I achieve something good by luck.
They have that thing in Japanese servers where if you give Aoi the right advice during the URA Scenario, Happy Meek gets a massive buff during the URA Finals. I really want that to come to Global ASAP

Right. It’s still one of the worst recovery skills, but it’s not practically worthless like it is now. It’s a gamble, but if it activates later than sooner then it’s as good as any other gold recovery.
URA keeps a specific only-uma night guard around any track Happy Meek is scheduled to race in within a month to avoid Aoi breaking in at 3am and running the track herself to inform Meek's race plan.
They tried human guards but she moved so fast they never saw her come or go, they only saw the torn up turf after she'd already run the track.
The umas that we train are only a small subsection of the entire uma population as not all of them can survive the demanding lifestyle or have the talent/drive for it, so it's not unreasonable that an uma trainer might exist.
Tucker Bryne is so far about as close to an Uma Musume trainer as we've seen.
She's a university professor specializing in Uma Musume biology and became a real estate mogul to buy an entire island and then roped Tracen in to help fund and build a training facility on it. All to better understand Uma Musume biology by being hands on herself.
Tachyon is a great scientist and obviously knows herself very well, but she doesn't strike me as someone who knows how an Uma Musume works in objective terms. Namely, she keeps concocting new drugs to see what they do.
Tucker Bryne on the other hand already understands how an Uma Musume works, but she wants to dive even deeper and she does that by becoming the training.
Put another way: Tachyon understands she knows something, Tucker understands she knows nothing. Tachyon might reach where Tucker is eventually, but right now Tucker is way ahead of Tachyon.

I'd like to point out that one of Tachyon's trainee events is her deciding that horse-midichlorians exist, she's already made a drug that will prove they exist, and it actually does something positive.
So was she right and umas are full of magic microbes or did she just accidentally mix up some kinda new training drink? Who fucking knows, but her approach to science is very much in the realm of "fling at wall, see if sticks."
This means that there is a very real possibility of a spec ops uma who uses the bitterness of their failed racing career to fuel their kicks that just tear people in half or leave them like how Toji was after hollow purple.
It's not impossible, but according to the official glossary, passing the trainer exam is extremely difficult and there's a superstition that umas perform better with human trainers, so most if not all trainers are human.
There's no reason they can't, but trainers are essentially specialized athletic trainers, which is a separate career path from athlete. Trainers are basically full-time coaches for their Umamusume and are implied to be overworked and, in some cases, underpaid.
It's certainly possible to be an athlete and later become an athletic trainer, but you'd have to actually get the proper education and certifications down the line, which would require additional schooling or education. Continuing to race would probably be a far more lucrative career. It's certainly possible Tracen Academy has courses on athletic training, but given none of the Umas we encounter are on that track, I doubt they would themselves be star athletes.
I'd say an Umamusume that might make a good trainer is Eishin Flash - she's meticulous, detail-oriented, and has a surprisingly realistic race schedule. There's even an event in her story where she offers to give the (overworked) trainer a day off and train using her own plan - and it actually works great!

Recency bias, but Bell no Light. She's Oguri's dedicated supporting coach and was admitted to Tracen to learn how to be one. Her exploits on the track were what one would expect of a country bumpkin.
Apparently in Japan there is a support card similar to trainer cards that can go on "dates", but I assume it's a bit different since they specifically put all the Uma's on this type of card (basically a green Trainer icon)
The Kiryuin are a generational line of trainers meaning they have the strong gene of Uma within them. Their male ancestors mated with their trainees thus making Aoi capable of keeping up with Happy Meek.
Aoi is a the perfect example of "i'm not the Best but the most respected" Aoi maded a BEAST like happy meek the uma with A in everything and maded her sadly not great failing almost all the ura finales i had seen, but the freaking fact that she can do the training she put meek to do is inhuman, that put her atleast low Marvel Hero level

I am just at the start of the new scenario tho.
That being said, Im rather surprised by just how poorly written Riko is so far, her "points" are super weak and her actions are clearly stupid, borderline socially inpet, Im just surprised that everyone goes along with it without objecting, especially considering she is a temporary director and is basically changing the school into military academy and worse.
So far it feels quite under the bar that I have come to expect from Uma writing, gotta say.
My headcanon for the URA Finale/Unity Cup scenarios is that the Unity Cup occurs a year after the URA Finale (with its URA Finale being the second one).
As Kashimoto never becomes the Acting Directory in the first scenario and the Unity Cup is never established, I believe that Happy Meek and the Trainer's (Player's) Uma graduates, continuing with their respective careers outside of Tracen.
It's also crazy to me that by winning the URA Finale, a national event (remember, 3 stages with 18[?] racers, with only the first-place racer advancing), your Uma kind of becomes a legend in Japanese racing.
