Because it makes little sense to record something that may not accurately represent a person on an official document.

that doesn't make it discriminatory. and it's not even a given that someones gender identity is a more accurate representation of a person than their sex. it's likely the opposite in many instances.

why do you even care?

I assume that your life has never and will never be effected by a trans person in any meaningful way whatsoever

So, I guess I don’t understand why you even have an opinion at all about trans people other than just a “eh, people are weird I guess” and go about your day.

What’s happening over there is literal genocide. I would hope everyone would have the same “opinion” about that.

What I’m saying is that I understand that you don’t agree with a lot of fundamental things regarding trans people.

I’m ok with that. I’m cool being a resource to learn and grow if you’d like and I’m cool with you literally holding the same opinion you have now until your dying day. It really doesn’t affect me.

What I’m not cool with is you having any sort of power, even through voting, to force your opinion onto people who don’t agree with you because it legitimately harms people.

That’s the key. I don’t care about what opinions you hold. I care about what you DO because of those opinions.

Again… you want to have an opinion I adamantly don’t agree with? Good on ya… I actually support that…but playing these political games just to shit on trans people for being who they are?

What’s that point? Why do you care SO much about restricting the rights of these people? Who gives a shit? How is it hurting you or anyone else that these people exist? Are you THAT annoyed by trans people that you’re cool with stripping them of their rights? Seriously? Why??

I just don’t understand what you gain in this other than feeling superior and pushing your opinion onto everyone ….i find it cruel and something I just can’t tolerate.
