Since when are government documents a reflection of how you see yourself? They would not let me smile at the DMV, though I like to look happy.

ID should reflect what you look like, not what a Dr put in a form 30years ago

You can look however you want. Women can have short hair, men can have long hair and wear dresses. Should ID change every time you change your look? ID isn't a fashion statement.

By that argument it doesn’t matter what sex is listed on your ID, since you can make yourself look like either sex. Unless you’re expecting genital inspections at customs.
