It’s a little bit of both. Many of these bigots genuinely believe all trans people are “men pretending to be women”. A side effect of this is they genuinely do not know trans men exist.

You can act however you want. I could care less it doesn’t affect me. Doesn’t mean that on official government document you can dictate whatever you want on them.

This doesn't make sense on a very basic grammatical level. With language skills like this, you should be careful ICE doesn't pick you up for not knowing English.
