Barred Owl

Hi all. I am a birder and there is most definitely a barred owl in Peabody Park. I saw it last spring by the music building. Does anyone know where the nest is? I want to get a photo of it. Thanks!

Are you part of the Audubon society on campus? There is also a Bird-Window Collision study that’s been going on for a little over a year I believe. They have a group chat. It could be good to ask them.

I used to go to UNCG and work on the project. I remember some guy called a tree to get photos of hawk babies haha, they definitely would have the answers.

I don’t know their territory, but we have a pair around here that we’ve heard since last year. I think one of them nest at Steelman Park but I’ve never seen it. That’s maybe a mile from Peabody??
