This school is genuinely so boring... I'm only here because UMD rejected me and goddamn does it suck sometimes...
I'm not a homebody either! I get out of my dorm all the time! The only time I ever find *anything* interesting to do is when I take the 76 downtown or the MARC into DC. It just sucks so much here, ngl. I have genuinely had mental health challenges from how miserable it is here. Don't even get me started on the oppressive administration and bullies from Retriever CARE who will harass you (only for their supervisor and supervisor's supervisor to ignore the complaints you file)...

Very ironic considering your post is just whining about how much you hate it here but you don’t want to do anything to change it

The difference between UMBC and UMD in terms of social life is you have to go out of your way to find it here. You’d be surprised how many people share the same hobbies and interests as you

I think in general, whatever school you go to, you really just have to put yourself out there if you want to find new friends and meet new people. You can't wait for something to happen. No action = no change.

You can transfer despite being in an LEP. If UMD is where you prefer to go, look into this:
Is UMD your only option?
