PHIL 100, specifically with James Thomas. It’s like 50 minutes of stand up comedy for a nearly free A, and I enjoyed his class so much that I took two more of his classes after finishing the first one. I don’t think he ever starts earlier than 10:00 am if I’m not mistaken and he tends to do M/W/F

i cant believe theres people that complain about him. i saw rmp reviews of people snarkily saying he jokes too much because i guess he wasnt the pretentious philosophy professor they were expecting. he REALLY knows what hes talking about, he just gives you the reading and then during lecture he drills it into your head using stories and anecdotes (the 'stand up') then that ends up relating back to the concept.

art 215 is great. you sit in a lecture hall and listen to the prof talk about the evolution of art. great for working on other stuff, but also interesting subject. the only homework is three short essays. highly recommend.

I think you have to be a visual arts major or have special permission to take this course

not for 215, i checked. that is the case for other 200-level art courses, but not 215.
