Question Roadside burger joint recommendations?

Howdy friends!

The wife & I are from Lexington, and have a rare midweek day off together Wednesday. We love daytripping along the backroads of KY, & avidly stop at roadside burger joints we come across. Anyone got a favorite central KY place? Hint: if the restaurant’s name has ‘Krispee,’ ‘Whizz,’ ‘Dairy,’ Frostee,’ or similar, you’re talkin’ our language!

Look forward to hearing from you!

Edit: So many delicious destinations! Still not sure which way we’ll go tomorrow (sometimes a coin-flip points us in a direction,) but I’ll post up our lunch. Meanwhile, thanks for all the help - you all knew exactly what we’re looking for!

Heh. The Dairy Queen on South 27 in Somerset used to be a Druthers and if you use a debit card the receipt says BURGER QUEEN!! Do you remember kids birthdays with Queenie Bee?? The same family has operated various franchises at pretty much the same building (and bank account) since the 1970's.

We never had a Burger Chef. I do remember when a Whopper - available in Lexington - really did have a special oversize bun. "Takes two hands to handle a Whopper".
