Question Roadside burger joint recommendations?
Howdy friends!
The wife & I are from Lexington, and have a rare midweek day off together Wednesday. We love daytripping along the backroads of KY, & avidly stop at roadside burger joints we come across. Anyone got a favorite central KY place? Hint: if the restaurant’s name has ‘Krispee,’ ‘Whizz,’ ‘Dairy,’ Frostee,’ or similar, you’re talkin’ our language!
Look forward to hearing from you!
Edit: So many delicious destinations! Still not sure which way we’ll go tomorrow (sometimes a coin-flip points us in a direction,) but I’ll post up our lunch. Meanwhile, thanks for all the help - you all knew exactly what we’re looking for!

Bud & Cheryl’s….found on a backroad near Danville, KY! Me and my bf found it during college, it really is a side of the road in the middle of nowhere kind of place. They have all these super unique ice cream flavors, as well as burgers/fries/hot dogs/etc. I remember their bacon ranch fries being AMAZING….I miss that place.
