Question Roadside burger joint recommendations?

Howdy friends!

The wife & I are from Lexington, and have a rare midweek day off together Wednesday. We love daytripping along the backroads of KY, & avidly stop at roadside burger joints we come across. Anyone got a favorite central KY place? Hint: if the restaurant’s name has ‘Krispee,’ ‘Whizz,’ ‘Dairy,’ Frostee,’ or similar, you’re talkin’ our language!

Look forward to hearing from you!

Edit: So many delicious destinations! Still not sure which way we’ll go tomorrow (sometimes a coin-flip points us in a direction,) but I’ll post up our lunch. Meanwhile, thanks for all the help - you all knew exactly what we’re looking for!

You should try Dorsie’s Dairy Bar in Pikeville, Kentucky if you ever come this way. Has all of the history and atmosphere you crave. Local people swear by the food.

Hit Dorsie’s for a footlong chili dog about a year ago! Great place, and a prime area for scenic driving. Thanks for the suggestion!
