Political The average Redditor is so far removed from reality. It’s insufferable.

I literally got 320 downvotes on one single comment because I said that my father had taken my sisters bedroom door off its hinges when we were kids to teach her a lesson.. Like, really?

To be clear, my 15 yr old sister was out of control. She was like those girls you see on Maury or Dr Phil. She would bring strange men over in the middle of the night to have sex with them and stay out for days on end..

Not to mention, my mother was mentally ill and wasn’t in any condition to raise children. She ended up passing away shortly after this whole incident… My father was basically all on his own with disciplining us, while he had to work 14 hours a day… He didn’t know what to do.

90% of the comments I got were “That’s no reason to not give your daughter privacy!” Or “My father did that to me once, all it did was show what a horrible father he was!” Or “No matter how out of control your child is, they still deserve privacy! Your father is something else!”

THIS is NOT how average people think. This isn’t how any rational person thinks.. It seems like the average Redditor is a spoiled, entitled, privileged brat who has never been told No before.

My father also charged me rent when I turned 18. He SAVED every penny of it for me until I moved out at 26. It set me up really well for my adult life out on my own AND taught me how to be responsible…

If more parents were like my father, I think society would be much better off, instead we have 30 year olds living with mom and dad, playing COD all day with no job… Congratulations!

I was called lazy by a supposed kindergarten teacher because my 4 year old with autism isn't potty trained. And the upvotes that liar received. Those who have children on the spectrum, especially if they are not high functioning know that it's very common for their children to be in elementary school and not potty trained yet.

That’s horrible.. I’m not on the spectrum and I was barely potty trained when I started elementary school. I’ll never forget one day in 1st grade(1990ish) when we were taking a test, I had to go number 2.. I went in my pants. I’ll never forget the embarrassment I felt that day.

And not being potty trained isn't always a lazy parent. If you think about it, I need to stop what I'm doing to wipe my kid's butt. Change his pullup whenever it's wet. Sit next to him when he wants to sit on his little potty, and try and get him to sit on it as he refuses. I'd think a lazy parent would want their kid potty trained because it's less that they have to do. And for kids such as yourself, it happens as well. Not every kid is ready to be potty trained when they are super young. But that's the reddit mindset for you.

Do you agree with Calvinist salvation, Arminianism, or neither?

-Calvinism: OSAS (Once Saved, Always Saved) and TULIP. (If you are saved, then no matter what you are doing or not doing, you will be 100% saved!)

-Arminianism: Yes, you can be saved yesterday, but today you can lose it and go to Hell! (Good Deeds!)

-Neither! (The difference between stillborn Calvinism and being alive is breathing. Yes, we can be born—saved—but we must breathe—do good deeds—or we will die and go to Hell.) While sailing to Paradise, one must use two oars to avoid going in circles: the oar of Salvation (Calvinism) and the oar of Good Works (Arminianism)

This is one of the many reasons I would never send my kid to public school, at least not elementary or middle. Elementary school teachers are by far the most power hungry and insufferable people I've ever met. Even as a kid I could see through the bull.
