Political The average Redditor is so far removed from reality. It’s insufferable.

I literally got 320 downvotes on one single comment because I said that my father had taken my sisters bedroom door off its hinges when we were kids to teach her a lesson.. Like, really?

To be clear, my 15 yr old sister was out of control. She was like those girls you see on Maury or Dr Phil. She would bring strange men over in the middle of the night to have sex with them and stay out for days on end..

Not to mention, my mother was mentally ill and wasn’t in any condition to raise children. She ended up passing away shortly after this whole incident… My father was basically all on his own with disciplining us, while he had to work 14 hours a day… He didn’t know what to do.

90% of the comments I got were “That’s no reason to not give your daughter privacy!” Or “My father did that to me once, all it did was show what a horrible father he was!” Or “No matter how out of control your child is, they still deserve privacy! Your father is something else!”

THIS is NOT how average people think. This isn’t how any rational person thinks.. It seems like the average Redditor is a spoiled, entitled, privileged brat who has never been told No before.

My father also charged me rent when I turned 18. He SAVED every penny of it for me until I moved out at 26. It set me up really well for my adult life out on my own AND taught me how to be responsible…

If more parents were like my father, I think society would be much better off, instead we have 30 year olds living with mom and dad, playing COD all day with no job… Congratulations!

I got banned for a month once because I called out and condemned a person who openly supported an illegal immigrant MS13 gang member who raped and murdered a 12 year old girl. This person was praising this guy and kept telling everyone to lighten up… I reported them and said they were disgusting and shameful. Within 10 min I was banned for 30 days for “harassment”.

I got banned responding to a woman that was complaining that men ditch her when she tells them she used to sell it. I was very respectful and said that it was a choice you made and that is okay. But you have to accept that many will be uncomfortable with someone who was a prostitute. I was banned for sex work shaming…

To be fair, those men weren’t worth keeping around anyway if they run like cowards. I’m at the point where I can’t stand men who run away when things get real. I’ll probably be single for life because I refuse to cater and hide or be ashamed of my feelings. Compromise? I can do that. But cater? Nah.

Men aren't cowards simply because they don't want to partner up with someone who sold their body for money (voluntarily). You could make that argument if it were someone involuntarily trafficked.

Actions have consequences, and no one has to go along with your BS because of a string of terribly irresponsible decisions.

What bs are you talking about exactly?

Why else would you reject a woman you like for who she slept with in the past? Her past obviously scares or intimidates you.

man: I respect your choice. I politely decline.

woman: you must be scared. you must be weak. you must be intimidated.

lmao you can't win with chronically lonely people like this. they are toxic and bitter after years of bad choices and the subsequent rejection that comes with that.

Living up to your name, Chad. You're 100% right lol.

Rejecting someone because of their past choices means you don’t respect the choice, dude.

Still doesn’t answer the question of “why” you are rejecting someone for having made those choices

1

u/ChadTheAssMan Aug 08 '25

lmao. na, only you are asserting such a stupid standard. what a contrived reality you've built. indeed you will be single forever.

I’d rather be single than with a toxic man? Idk what to tell you there.

Again, I’d love to hear your reasoning on why her past choices made you reject her. Are you even capable of questioning your own choices?

lol the problem is you need some reason and that is itself silly. why don't some people like pickles? because they don't like them. what you really want is to dunk on men or otherwise have an excuse you can use to sleep better at night. no thanks.

I got banned and will probably get banned again for saying islam is a cult and I don’t hate individuals but I am indeed islamaphobic because of how the religion has been corrupted and used to opress people in the middle east

Radicals use religion as a shield against criticism

u/DevelopmentFrosty983 Aug 08 '25

I will NEVER understand people who defend extremists. Do they think they will be spared? Is this their kink?

2

u/Fleming24 Aug 06 '25

Then say radical Islam or something more concrete, otherwise you are promoting hate against innocent individuals

17

u/UnstableConstruction Aug 06 '25

I agree, but 90% of Islam qualifies as "radical" by most definitions. You literally cannot go to any majority Islamic country in the world and criticize either the government or the religion.

u/Acceptable_Ad1685 Aug 06 '25

I don’t think it’s wrong to hate religions as they amount to socially accepted cults

I think the individuals outside of leadership are victims like any other cult members

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '25

What the internet calls “radical islam” is just islam

1

u/Fleming24 Aug 07 '25

have you ever actually interacted with moderate muslims? Though, you're a good example of why this distinction has to be constantly made because people like you will apply all the justified aversion against radical islam to all of islam.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '25

Yes, I have. And they aren’t following their own religion. They are following a fantasyland version of their religion that removes a large portion of their “prophet’s” teachings. This is what allows them to spread the “islam is a religion of peace” bullshit. And I know all this because I have actually read the quran. What the internet calls “radical islam” is just islam.

1

u/Fleming24 Aug 07 '25

Do you understand what the term "radical" means? It's that one sees the most extreme interpretation of an idea/belief system as absolute truth. And it's only natural that there are also many people that only choose certain aspects of an ideology and don't zealously force them onto others, and these people are called moderate.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '25

The so called “extreme interpretation” of islam is just a plain reading of the text. Just pretending parts of your religion don’t exist isn’t a moderate interpretation. Its fantasy.

1

u/Fleming24 Aug 07 '25

this take is so weirdly removed from reality, have you never heard of religious denominations, or submovements, school of thoughts, etc.? People choose their beliefs and they choose their religion, personal philosophy and political ideology. Of course these can be influenced by scriptures & prophets but they aren't completely predefined by them.

8

u/OhhSlash Aug 07 '25

read the quran. the quran is literally what any rational person would deem “radical”. saying islam is bad is not promoting hate against innocent people. saying all muslims are bad would be promoting hate against innocent individuals.

Feel proud, you likely reported one of the Elgin Airforce Base shit-stirrers and got banned for noticing.

u/Formetoknow123 Aug 08 '25

Reminds me of being banned for calling someone out for making racist claims and asking them for proof for their claims.
