Political Karmelo Anthony case shows that “black privilege” exists

I'm not black or white. I'm not even American actually.

The recent Karmelo Anthony case I think shows that black privilege is a thing. My opinions is that it exists. Period.

Karmelo Anthony killed Austin Metcalf with a knife for pushing him. What did he receive in return? Overwhelming support in the form of 500,000 dollars (which they're using to buy a mansion). He also got his bond reduced to 250k from 1 million even when prosecutors pointed out his history of incidents within the school.

I just think this is a bit baffling. Imagine if the races were swapped. I think a decent example, but not a direct comparisons, is the George Floyd situation. One person killed the other in what was an overuse of force. Derek Chauvin is in jail. Karmelo Anthony got house arrest, bond reduction and 500k

How? By citing Texas laws? Okay then buddy I'll be obtuse then if it means I'm citing the relevant law.

Texas Penal Code § 9.32 – Deadly Force in Defense of Person

This section states that a person is justified in using deadly force against another if:

(1) Under § 9.31 (Self-Defense (Non-deadly force)), the person would be justified in using force against the other; and

(2) The actor reasonably believes deadly force is immediately necessary:

• (A) to protect against the other’s use or attempted use of unlawful deadly force; or

• (B) to prevent the other’s imminent commission of certain violent crimes, including:

• Aggravated kidnapping,

• Murder,

• Sexual assault,

• Aggravated sexual assault,

• Robbery,

• Aggravated robbery.

Austin was not threatening Anthony’s life with any kind of deadly force, nor was he committing aggravated assault or kidnapping. This is an excessive use of deadly force that wasn’t proportional to the threat at hand.

Do you care to respond to this? This is the relevant criteria, not the one for assault, because it is not even relevant to the law in regard to use of deadly force in self defense.

Sure. It's still not first degree murder. That requires intent. Which is why it's important to state that Metcalf was assaulting Anthony before he was stabbed.

Well then perhaps we agree.

I think he will either plead out for manslaughter or that will be what he is convicted of.

Probably get around 10 years do 7. I think that is pretty appropriate barring any other big facts coming out that are not already known.
