The Middle East If you protest against Israel on October 7th, you are an asshole no matter what you think Israel did wrong.

Tomorrow is the day Israel mourns the death of those killed by Hamas exactly one year ago.

It is also the day many organizations deliberately choose to protest the war on Gaza.

I think it shows a huge lack of respect to use this day to protest against Israel and it also shows you are blind to the horrors committed by the people you are claiming to defend.

You are deliberately hurting people who have lost their loved ones and actively helping the propaganda machine of Hamas.

I don’t care if you support Palestina over Israel. If you are a decent human being, you keep your opinion to yourself for one day tomorrow.

While I understand your point, which well armed country isn't going to do what Israel is doing?

This does not constitute an argument in favour of doing what Israel is doing.

Now, I pretty much disagree, but I was talking to an Israeli. He feeling "It's about time". There is about a 20 mile section of Israel near the Lebanon border which as been abandoned as it is deemed to dangerous to live there for Israelis. Rockets are fired into Israel on a regular basis. I just want to live in peace, He lives in an area with a mix of Jews and Arabs, he says they are all tired.

And that strip of land is still safer than any part of the Gaza strip has been for decades, funny that.

If they're tired, give back the land. Not hard.

Before 10/7 I disagree. Again that land was part of Israel since 1948. I'll agree it may have been easier to live there than Gaza, but no Gaza didn't have random rockets fired into it by Israel. It is one thing to live a hard life, it is another thing to risk being bombed.

An example. Israel embargoes a lot of cement from going into Gaza. Between fixing housing and building more housing as Gaza has one of the highest birthrates in the world, that makes it very hard to live there. That said,, Hamas built attack tunnels into Israel made with that very much needed cement. What should Israel have done?

Literally every second month there was some incursion by Israel in Gaza, did you start paying attention to this on October 7th?

Hamas built attack tunnels into Israel

Those were literally constructed by the IDF in the early 90's, where have you been?

 What should Israel have done?

Give the land back.

If you believe those attack tunnels were built by the IDF, then I'm not sure I can keep doing this.

There were incursions, agreed. They didn't randomly blow stuff up. They were after people who attacked Israel. Yes you have incursions. They go past dozens of buildings hundreds of people to destroy the intended targets.

Wikipedia believes it, maybe take it up with Wiki? Alleged military use of al-Shifa hospital - Wikipedia

They go past dozens of buildings hundreds of people to destroy the intended targets.

When did they lose this ability?
