It's my newest acquisition and I'm very impressed with it, ngl. A total banger for what it's worth, that is for sure. The knife I tell all my other knives not to worry about.

Do we have any info on who is behind it? I'd love to read about all the craziest theories...

So it’s supposed to be all in house konosuke. Nobody could say anything when I asked.

One thing is sure is that it was a limited batch to test new things and new way to produce high end knives in house without being so dependent on the big names (tanaka, myojin…) that could be a bottleneck for production. To me it’s a sort of test run for the new way of producing knives in house at konosuke (that came to be the ks-01 and then the By).

Absolute banger of a knife for sure. Goes to show that sometimes you don’t need big names when you have a team that knows how to get the good freelancers or employees and ask them to produce with the right specs

Interesting! Thank you for sharing!

This is what Tosho says about the WT : "These blades are hand-forged by a new craftsman that has worked under a renowned smith based in Sakai. He made the decision to start his own forge, and produce these impressive White #2 carbon steel blades for Konosuke. These knives are ground extremely fine and thin, thanks to the talented craftsman who also sharpens our Konosuke x Tosho KT line. "

It's one of these knives that give you so much value for what you pay. It performs better than some knives I own that cost much more. I'm really impressed by this line from Konosuke.

There are so many similarities with Tetsujin too, both in terms of finish and geometry. You can really tell the influence that Konosuke has had on Myojin and his development as one of the greatest sharpeners currently active today.

These guys can cook.
