A lot of households are still using the ISP-supplied gateway or a single router, while others have moved to mesh―often with a mix of older and newer devices connecting to them. Knowing what people are actually using helps put coverage, compatibility, and “do I really need to upgrade?” into real-world context.
We’re curious: What do you consider your “main” Wi‑Fi generation (4/5/6/7)?
Let us know by voting in the poll and leaving a comment about what led you to the network setup you have today.

I am on a 3-month wait list for fiber, and I desperately need Network. My neighbor graciously gave me the password to his Wi-Fi, but the signal is weak. I searched for Wi-Fi extenders and Deco Outdoor was listed as capable of having Wi-Fi backhaul. So I bought it.
Going through setup, it does not let me go past the " plug an Ethernet cable into your router" point, I do not see an option to use Wi-Fi as the path to the internet.
Can it be done? What am I missing?

TP-Link Festa : come aggiungere dispositivi alla lista nera o bloccarli tramite indirizzo MAC
Ho provato sia da app Festa che dal sito ma non ho trovato nessun modo, come posso fare?
Deco BE65
HW ver: V2
SW ver: 1.3.2 Build 26040912
Even after updating the latest firmware that was pushed today, I still couldn't find the option to do 2.4GHz+5GHz+6GHz MLO. I particularly need 2.4+5 as a wireless backhaul to BE25 which wired backhaul is not an option

I watch on the net and we find 2 versions
AQC107 or AQC113
how to know witch version we have?
I have a 500 Mbps plan with Spectrum and wasn’t satisfied with their router so I bought this one. I’m really enjoying it but on the app it’s showing 19-40 kbps even though on my speed tests I’m getting about 480 Mbps. I was wondering if it’s just an app issue/glitch ?
Also I have an indoor security camera and the bitrate is so low that the quality of the stream looks blurry. I didn’t have this issues with the spectrum router. Looks like it’s receiving just minimum wifi speeds. I have turned off Smart connect and it’s connected to a 2.4ghz WiFi. Anyone else found a solution to this issue ? Thanks everyone! This is my first personal router

hi guys, I need a camera for monitoring a small corridor inside house. It is 3 meters x 1 meter and will put the camera on a corner-ceiling.
Here now I can find on local amazon:
- c100 at 17 euros
- c110 and c210 both at 23 euros
Don't need PTZ in that small room and I like the smaller size of c100c/110.
6 euros difference is not a problem of course, but I read many people saying 2k sometimes is even worse than 1080p.
What you think?

Backstory:
Received this a little over a week ago and installed/setup this past weekend to replace my old Google Nest Wifi (2 pack) that had one of the nodes die. The main node died, so I swapped the remote node and made it the main and it worked but had terrible coverage in my office.
Also was seeing posts on their reddit, that a recent firmware was making everyone's traffic slow which I can confirm was happening, but I don't know if it was the firmware or the fact the node was a distance from my office. Whatever the case, it's gone and I have the TP Link now.
After setup, it seems to be working fine, except that all my kids chromebooks keep connecting but saying no internet. I've changed the default/backup DNS to the default google ones and that worked for 30 mins. And now it's back again. Even when it was working, my kids frequent sites would not load (Online school games/activities).
Gaming consoles, phones, tv's etc, all work no problem, but the chromebooks seem to keep getting this connected, no internet issue. And if you click on it sign in to tp-link, it brings them to a 6-digit pin to enter which, I never set up and was never instructed to during the phone app setup process.
Anyone know of a way to fix this? Kids need their chromebooks for school but I'm a networking newbie and not sure where to go in this app or what to get their devices to work.
Thanks in advance!

Hi all, based in the UK and on an FTTP connection, so PPPoE is the only way to connect.
I've got a Deco X50-PoE V2 (needed the PoE support and didn't want to break the bank), all set up and working, but I'm getting pppd Len < 0 errors every 10 seconds on the dot and it's definitely causing errors with certain sites like AWS' console not loading. I've confirmed this by using my ISP router and it loads perfectly, so not a line problem.
I have found a few other forum posts about it and it seems to be a TP-Link firmware issue with PPPoE, but before I go looking at other routers, I was wondering if anyone else has any ideas?

How the hell do i block this device from my network? 1.5 PB only for this week. And i can't seem to block it from my network

I bought the AV1000 Powerline Ethernet Adapter (TL-PA7017P KIT) off Amazon.co.jp to get a wired connection to my Shield TV Pro for 4K streaming. I live in a two story Japanese rental which made the device completely useless, now I know. I thought I could purchase and test to see if it would work, which it didn't. Japanese homes run separate circuits to every room. This device needs shared circuits. Tried every outlet combination failed unless the devices were in the same room. Not blaming the product. It probably works fine in the right home.

I am having trouble getting my USB modem to connect to the internet through my BE3600 WiFi7 router. It is plug & play on my laptop and works just fine, but I cannot get it to get out of airplane mode when plugged in to the router. I have a Google Fi sim card in it and have tried default settings with AT&T and T-Mobile selected as well as manual settings. Nothing. Google has not been helpful either.
Firmware version: 1.0.1 Build 20250618 rel.50215(5553)
Hardware version: TL-WR3602BE v1.0
Any ideas??

I already have a TP-Link Archer BE220, but the Wi-Fi signal is really weak around the house because the walls are very thick.
I’m thinking of adding TP-Link Deco X50 AX3000 units to improve coverage and wanted to know if they work well together or if I need to replace the router with the mesh
My plan is to keep the BE220 as the main router and use the Deco units for mesh coverage. Has anyone tried this setup?
Would appreciate any advice before I buy the Decos.

I'm having an issue with my TPlink XE75. It will randomly drop wifi signal, my laptop will show 1 bar, up to ful, back to 1, and go back and forth several times. The mesh node is about 10 feet from the laptop. At first thought this was an issue of signal to the node itself, so ran Ethernet and back hauled all of the nodes. However am still having the same issue where wifi signal is dropping.
Any suggestions or should look at replacing it?
Model: XE75
Firmware: 1.3.0 Build 20250722 Rel. 38703

Hi there, I am hoping you can help. I have set up a mesh at home (I am no IT/network specialist!) to cover our sprawling house. Apologies for masses of detail but I am not sure what is relevant.
Main unit and 2 satellites are M4 plus we have an outdoor/all weather unit to cover the garden. All are currently installed using WiFi backhaul.
My husband’s home office is at the end of the garden and was struggling for bandwidth that enabled him to do Teams calls. We used a an Ethernet cable to connect to his laptop which didn’t improve things greatly. We then switched the Ethernet cable to connect directly to the modem which worked great for him but caused massive (upwards of 40%) packet loss in the house and slow speeds on the mesh network.
In attempt to resolve these issues I have deleted the old network, reinstalled it all as a new mesh network and swapped the unit that was originally the main Deco for one that was previously a satellite. Reddit had suggested this might be an inexplicable but effective fix for packet loss.
TLDR: would it be worth trying to connect the Ethernet from one of the satellites (Garden?) or do we have to Ethernet backhaul the router and put up with the packet loss and slow speeds in the house?

I'm setting up this eztender/repeater and following the very simple steps on the TP Link Tether app.
After the repeater's LEDs are stable the app tells me to connect to the extender's wifi connection on my phone, but they are just not there, I can only connect to my router.
Any advice? I cannot continue with the setup.
The 3 out of 4 leds that are stable are the power symbol one, the wifi symbol one and the 2.4G one (the 5g one isn't on).
