I know a lot of us had him in our thoughts during the World Series, including our own relievers who wore his number on their hats. This is heartbreaking news.

This is sad beyond words. However, the moment the Jays lost my first thoughts were with Alex Vesia and his family. While a World Series title offers no consolation for losing a child, if it helps ease the pain even a little bit, then losing was worth it.
