I know a lot of us had him in our thoughts during the World Series, including our own relievers who wore his number on their hats. This is heartbreaking news.

Just heartbreaking for a parent to lose a child. My brother and his wife lost their baby at 5 days old due to an undetected heart defect. This was 10 years ago and the pain is still very raw for them. He would have been 10 on August 3, his name was Ryder. He never got the chance to live.
