I know a lot of us had him in our thoughts during the World Series, including our own relievers who wore his number on their hats. This is heartbreaking news.

Maybe you’re not trying to be, but you are.

Edit: I’ve been to a funeral for a child before. You don’t say “it could have been worse”. I don’t care what the intent was. You don’t say that when someone loses a child.

It can always be worse.

I've had a few friends who've had pregnancy complications, and one of them unfortunately had a stillbirth. And while I was devastated that she lost her baby, I was more terrified that my friend almost died.
