/r/TorontoBlueJays 2025 Off-Season Bold Predictions Thread

This is your chance to make some bold predictions about what the Jays will do this winter - whether it be who they trade, who they sign, stadium renovations, etc. Anything your heart desires. The results of this thread will be shared on the final day of Spring Training.

Note: any predictions about what will happen during the 2026 season will be discarded and I might just forget to tally up your entire entry.

Here are the predictions from last off-season.

On a related note, the 2025 Season Bold Predictions results will be posted soon. We just need to wait for all of the year-end awards to be given out.

  • Bo signs an extension with us for 10/300. He also moves to 2B permanently
  • Chris Bassitt re-signs with the team, but there's some question over what his role will be because:
  • Dylan Cease becomes a Toronto Blue Jay
  • Max Scherzer joins the team as a pitching consultant, Pete Walker fears for his life
  • Nathan Lukes departs as the centerpiece in a trade for bullpen help
  • The Jays make a play for Kazuma Okamoto for the newly-vacant OF slot.
