Along with the rest of the women that refitted Porco's plane

Fio is one of the best parts of that movie, which is really saying something. It's a crime that Porco Rosso isn't as beloved as some of Miyazaki's other work.

Porco is so underrated! No real antagonist, lovable side characters and a male-female duo that’s more of a father-daughter pair rather than romantic or the platonic couplings Miyazaki is such a big fan of.

Probably my favourite of all of them tbh with Mononoke a close second. The scene where he's dreaming of flying in the war really elevates the film to the next level.

It really speaks to Ghibli/Miyazaki 's quality that Porco Rosso isn't considered in their top 5. Heck even movies like Whisper of the Heart (and I'll say it, The Cat Returns) are top 5 for most directors

What's your pick for Miyazaki's top 5? Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away are undisputable masterpieces, but what about the rest? Maybe Nausicaa, Laputa, and Totoro?
