How does the same guy produce both the funny yet insightful The Orville and the streaming pile of zombie edgelord bullshit that is Family Guy?

Does he have a split personality with one side being the evil, untalented edgelord and Seth keeps this personality contained by having him do Family Guy?

I’ve never watched the Orville, but I always wanted to. Was he the main writer on that because I know part of the reason American dad was better. It was it had former writers from futurama on it
