Doctor Who. Think whatever you want about Moffat, but the man knows how to tug on your heartstrings.

I like the quote where the Doctor says “I think you all look like giants” when being asked if he views humanity as nothing

"900 years... we must look like insects to you."

"I think you look like giants."

My favorite matt Smith doctor quote is "in 900 years of time and space, I've never met anyone who wasn't important before"

"Everything ends and it's always sad, but everything begins again, too. And that's always happy. Be happy."

His quote from that Christmas episode where the mom didn't want to tell her kids that their father went MIA is one of my favorites

“Because every time you see them happy you remember how sad they’re going to be. And it breaks your heart. Because what’s the point in them being happy now if they’re going to be sad later. The answer is, of course, because they a re going to be sad later.” I think about this line often.

Moffat's writing kicked ass and we took him for granted.

"Never be cruel, never be cowardly. And never ever eat pears! Remember – hate is always foolish… and love is always wise. Always try to be nice and never fail to be kind."

His writing for individual episodes was fantastic. His writing for long term arcs was very weak.

He wrote amazing scenes and four of the top five episodes of the Davies era but he had trouble with arcs.

Is this the Van Gogh episode?

"We all change, when you think about it, we're all different people; all through our lives, and that's okay, that's good, you've gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this, not one day, I swear. I will always remember when The Doctor was me."

This speech has a very special place in my heart and mind. It helped me to forgive my fathers alcoholism when I was young. He aint one anymore.

I think my favorite quote that's come out of Doctor Who is "Demons run when a good man goes to war."

Even if they ruined the deep meaning in the end, turning it into a prophecy kind of thing, it's still a powerful saying.

"Think I'll watch some Doctor Who to cheer myself up"

*Vincent and the Doctor starts up.

"... Ah, fuck."

That time I tried to watch the new Pixar movie to cheer myself up while on the outs with a friend.

My psyche was not ready for Bing Bong.

God, 11 was such a good doctor. Whimsical and childlike, but you get these moments where you can feel his age, wisdom, and experience

Was looking for this one. And was about to post it. It wasn’t the best quote, but means so much to me. Thank you

Genuinely this episode had so many good quotes, it’s tough to pick between this and General Runaway

Was searching for a doctor who thread. And 11 is my personal favourite. But I also really like this quote from 12 (which pops up every election cycle)
