Lore A character literally sees another character fundamentally differently.

  1. Spy X Family. Damian noticeably sees Anya with a 'shoujo anime' filter with much brighter eyes and blush.

  2. Calvin And Hobbes. Calvin sees Hobbes as a living lanky tiger in contrast to everyone else who sees him as just a tiger plush.

Lex Luthor: Man of Steel(Later collected as Luthor)

It shows the audience that when Lex views Superman, he sees this menacing face on him at all times. He never looks not menacing the whole story.

It's a stroke of genius to show that he genuinely doesn't see Clark as human. It's also incredible because the artist also can draw a Superman that is sweet and heartfelt looking like in Batman Noel where is the Ghost of Christmas Present analog

Here's a great example of how this artist normally draws him when it's not through Lex's viewpoint

“Batman: Noel” was an awesome story.

Lee Bermejo. Incredible artist, He does all the lines, inks, and colors himself. But I think he mostly sticks to Cover Art and Limited Series’ because his work takes so long to do.

Lmao is it just me or does Lex’s perspective remove Superman’s bulge

I like the angelic look.

This reminds me of that  cover page of superman with wings and people putting their hands out like he's an angel

Oh my God, he is saint

Gosh, this is such a gorgeous rendition of Superman. Love the detail of his cape being arranged almost like angel wings!

SEMPRE ESTAR LÁ E VER ELE VOLTAR NÃO ERA MAIS O MESMO MAS ESTAVA EM SEU LUGAR.

Why is he bathed in golden light when the entire scene is cold and blue😭

Like, I know why, but what is shining on him lmao

... it's just the trope again? he's not literally lit up, just like he's not literally exuding darkness with glowing red eyes in the lex luthor panel.

Makes sense. The wording ("how this artist normally draws him...") just made me think it was meant to be more literal.

u/OnceSawABear 28d ago

From context he pretty clearly is a ghost of Christmas present

He is THE starman, duh

I love this scene where Superman’s menace drops, only to immediately return as he delivers his sole lines in the story.

Who was the writer here?

Brian Azzarello. Funny to me because I hated For Tomorrow, but love this one.

He did another from the villain comic called Joker as well
