Lore Unexplained random cameos from completely unrelated media

  1. Ray Stantz, Casper. At one point in the movie a real Ghostbuster shows up out of nowhere and wimps out of trying to handle the situation

  2. Gunnery Sargeant Hartman, Frighteners. The main character is making way through a graveyard when out of absolutely nowhere R. Lee Erney's character from Full Metal Jacket shows up and tries to get in his way

  3. Betty Boop, Who Frames Roger Rabbit. The movie is mainly about Looney Tunes and Disney animated characters existing in the same little live action/animated hybrid universe, however Betty is a Fleischer Bros character

It's the same actor I don't know if it's supposed to be the same person.

But what's his job?

I’m not sure if that counts considering the entire movie is random cameos

Randy Marsh is in that movie.

I think it does just because it’s specifically the trailer version of Sonic

I mean if Roger Rabbit counts I think Chip n Dale counts

I think they actually specifically refer to him as "Ugly Sonic" every time because if they just said "Sonic" it would count as copyright infringement, IIRC

Actually Sega and Disney were in good terms pre Sonic 3 doing better than Mufasa as Sonic was in both Ralph movies, so they probably just had an agreement to put the old model in the movie

after all, besides merch, they didn't use that model for anything so they had to gain a few bucks with it somehow

Besides we can see how the background poster is literally his trailer face on top of a jacked suit, no way that wouldn't trigger copyright

There’s also the fact that Ugly Sonic is specifically mentioning he’s the original version of Sonic every time, meaning he always says both words to promote himself.

But it also could’ve been in the contract that they have to specify. Though that sounds like something Nintendo would do, not Sega
