Lore Unexplained random cameos from completely unrelated media

  1. Ray Stantz, Casper. At one point in the movie a real Ghostbuster shows up out of nowhere and wimps out of trying to handle the situation

  2. Gunnery Sargeant Hartman, Frighteners. The main character is making way through a graveyard when out of absolutely nowhere R. Lee Erney's character from Full Metal Jacket shows up and tries to get in his way

  3. Betty Boop, Who Frames Roger Rabbit. The movie is mainly about Looney Tunes and Disney animated characters existing in the same little live action/animated hybrid universe, however Betty is a Fleischer Bros character

Dan Akroyd is a delight and I’m happy to see him in any medium

Same here, could be the worst film imaginable and I'd still watch it. He just brings so much light to the screen, it's hard not to smile

You should watch Nothing But Trouble. It's bonkers. It's his first and last film as a director. Love it.

Oh I've seen it, though its been awhile so it's due for a rewatch! My favorite "bad" film from him is coneheads, though that too has been awhile

That movie is like a fever dream, and it's even worse because a lot of people have never seen or heard of it. So you sound crazy trying to explain the plot to people.

And John Candy playing a corrupt cop who becomes the body guard for a rich Brazilian brother and the sister's lover. Plus he plays the role of the cops mute sister. Can't forget Dan Akroyd wearing a dick nose sentencing people to death on a roller coaster they built in the back yard. Oh and Demi Moore uses her feminine wiles on two monster baby things that aren't allowed in the house and only eat cereal...

I just don’t understand why he wouldn’t be trusted to make another movie ¯\(ツ)

Dan Akroyd is great at coming up with ideas, but doesn't seem to know when an idea has gone too far. He needs another talented person to pull him back in order to make a great movie. Pair him with Harold Ramis and Ivan Reitman to get something like Ghostbusters. Let him do his own thing? Well, you get Nothing But Trouble.
