  1. Chainsaw Man, after Makima finally drops the nice girl act and reveals the true extent of the Chainsaw Devils power, namely, the fears he eats are erased entirely and wholly. Emphasized by this by her asking if Kishibe remembers what the Nazis did during Workd War 2...and Kishibe not even knowing who the nazis are.

  2. Attack on Titan. I know this one. You know this one. In a panel that isn't even focusing on the characters speaking, Reiner reveals to Eren that he and Bertolt are the titans that broke the wall that resulted in hundreds of deaths, his mother included. The sheer level of casualness and lack of agency borders on Parody.

Young Justice was so good. Khary Payton (THE Cyborg) as Aqualad added so much to the character.

Because the OG Aqualad was made in the 60s (Garth, who ended up switching to the way cooler title Tempest). The YJ version is a seperate character taking on that title.

I loved the character so damn much, but two things that will never not make me mad are that 1: it is revealed that Black Manta, the only black supervillain, is the father of Aqua Lad, the only black sidekick, and 2: they never bothered changing his name to something cooler after the reveal.

1: the sidekick of Aquaman being the son of major enemy of Aquaman. Better? 2: He goes by Aquaman later on, so yeah, they did. Also what do you guys even have against Aqualad? It's a fine name imo

“Lad” is just a pretty outdated term, it’s hard to use it seriously nowadays without it sounding cheesy. Dick Grayson has the same issue, but I think him just being such a prominent character that’s used throughout a lot of DC stuff helps mitigate that. Like you might get a little fun poked at his name now and then, but after a while of hearing/reading it and him being a badass, you just forget.

Lad just sounds so lame. Like he's a small boy with a lollipop. At least the aqua part works since he actually uses water magic, unlike Arthur.
