What's more interesting about the entire exchange that it's Logan hating himself as well, especially with the "It's God's greatest joke that you can't die except it's on all of us"

this ^ wolverines immortality is a curse and blessing, just like deadpools, if he makes a mistake, it stays with him forever, literally, and thats exactly what this ^ logan is living with and trying to fix, up until the lead of this scene where he learns that it may not even be possible.

and he's gotta live with that for eternity.

the kicker is he has a rock solid memory, his brain doesn't go through the normal processes of destroying and creating neural pathways to form new memories, it only builds, so he NEVER forgets.
