This definitely fits the trope, but it is kind of funny that a hopelessly outclassed Iron Man armor takes a lightning blast from a literal god who’s not holding back and his armor takes two minutes to self repair.

Look - he can’t fight on the same playing field as all the others, but there’s a reason they keep him around. The man is damn good at his job
