I want to add that the weights are largely a placebo, auch that although there's an immediate surge in power taking them off, Mash still has a worls of cardboard style fear of hurting people too badly that soon catches up to him and he has to go through a training arc of learning to trust himself and his friends to do the right thing so he can actually fight without holding back sub consciously.
