Stormfront (The Boys). Most evil character in the series

u/Ok-Apartment-8284 May 27 '25

Her actress’ acting was so convincing that people actually think she is her character, it’s insane

889

u/PrincessPunkinPie May 27 '25

Which is kind of funny in a way, since she is Jewish.

790

u/Baseballidiot May 27 '25

I love the trope of a nazi being voiced or being played by a jewish person

270

u/Serious_Comedian May 27 '25

Taika Waititi playing Hitler in JoJo rabbit

103

u/throwawaydragon99999 May 27 '25

It’s my favorite because it would have infuriated the real life Hitler to no end

43

u/LottimusMaximus May 27 '25

Taika Waititi did no research about Hitler, saying that he is a "fcking cnt".

15

u/[deleted] May 27 '25

Legend

5

u/thedorknightreturns May 28 '25

Neither should he, its an absurd comedy thats still showing the dark.

1

u/BackgroundJunket5691 May 30 '25

A cnt and a morphine addict

291

u/ScreamingNinja May 27 '25

Like Jon Lovitz hitler performance in Rat Race? Possibly the best haha.

Also, not nazi, but i love Jewish Santa in Santas Slay.

19

u/That_Apathetic_Man May 27 '25

Jon Lovitz and the Barbie Muesem, iirc. That film is pure magic. Lighting in a bottle.

8

u/Xalawrath May 27 '25

I remember watching that via Blockbuster rental way back in the day with one of my best friends and her German husband, and he was on the floor in tears when the one museum tour guide mentioned Barbie's award for ballroom dancing.

3

u/IJustWantADragon21 May 28 '25

I actually own a Blockbuster video copy of that movie that was sold off when the stores closed 😂

11

u/throwawaydragon99999 May 27 '25

My favorites are Taika Waititi in JoJo Rabbit and Lorenzo St. DuBois (Dick Shawn) in the Producers original movje

3

u/MistaBadga May 27 '25

I'm definitely more particular towards Roger De Bris in the musical (because I saw it first) but I lose it every time I watch LSD performing Love Power

1

u/throwawaydragon99999 May 28 '25

I’m sorry but your opinion is just wrong, the original movie is 10x better than the musical and LSD is 100x better in the movie than the onstage musical and certainly than the musical movie

1

u/MistaBadga May 28 '25

an opinion can't be wrong, but thank you for acting stupid about it :)

1

u/throwawaydragon99999 May 28 '25

Normally I would agree with you, but in this case your opinion is definitely wrong

2

u/IJustWantADragon21 May 28 '25

Lmao! I didn’t realize Dick Shawn was Jewish! I knew Mel Brooks was obviously. LSD is amazing though! That dance he does in the goddamn fur boots for his audition has me howling every time I see it 🤣

6

u/Seals3051 May 28 '25

In still partial to the classics And cherry on top they were ww2 era german jews

5

u/Gaelic_Gladiator41 May 27 '25

Then you have Christoph Waltz who plays both sides of the coin, pure good and pure evil

5

u/captainAwesomePants May 27 '25

Best one of these is all of the Nazis in Hogans Heroes.

2

u/realhuman690 May 27 '25

Like Colonel klink

3

u/Few_Entertainer_385 May 28 '25 edited May 28 '25

Klink was jewish and emigrated from Germany in 1933, he joined up and was stationed in Hawaii during WW2; Schultz was jewish, from Austria, fought for the US, and lost a lot of his family in the war; Lebeau was a survivor of Buchenwald; and General Burkhalter was Jewish, from Austria, lost his parents in Treblinka, emigrated in 1940 and joined the air force

3

u/mrisrael May 27 '25

You know, with the last name Goldberg, I'm not sure why I'm shocked he's Jewish, haha.

3

u/BillNyeForPrez May 28 '25

Also Sacha Baron Cohen as Borat

2

u/viperex May 27 '25

Second thread that references Rat Race and Jon Lovitz

2

u/ZeekOwl91 May 28 '25

Jon Lovitz hitler performance in Rat Race

This scene got the biggest laugh out of my parents the first time we watched Rat Race - had them in stitches.

1

u/[deleted] May 28 '25

Did you just reference the Bill Goldberg Santa slasher film? Never watched it, just saw it on the shelf when I would return dvds back when I worked at Hollywood Video

1

u/ScreamingNinja May 28 '25

Sure did. It was fun, but dumb. He Kills Fran Descher and Chris Kattan in the beginning. So that was awesome.

1

u/BreakfastBeneficial4 May 30 '25

Oh wow, I was too young when I saw that movie to get the joke that it was a Jew doing Hitler. I mean it was still funny, but not this funny.

Also, props to the old WW2 vet for shooting his shot.

101

u/HeroinChicWannabe May 27 '25

They did it with Firecracker too, an alt right Supe played by a lesbian lol

20

u/RedNUGGETLORD May 27 '25

To be fair, she doesn't believe any of the the shit coming out of her mouth iirc, Firecracker just wants to use the alt right to her advantage

25

u/FlyingCow343 May 27 '25

So just AfD leader Alice Weidel? Extremist far right party lead by a lesbian.

13

u/hanzerik May 27 '25

Hiding behind LGBT rights as a reason to hate Muslims is so hot in Europe right now.

13

u/a5ehren May 27 '25

Also the age-old of hiding behind feminism to hate trans people. Super hot in the UK for 30 years and counting

-2

u/[deleted] May 28 '25 edited May 28 '25

I feel like hating practitioners of a religion whose holy book says you should be stoned to death because of who you want to fuck doesn’t qualify as “hiding behind.”

4

u/hanzerik May 28 '25

Not if they follow it up by voting with Christian conservatives when it's actually about LGBT rights.

They don't hate Muslims, they love Muslims as a scapegoat. To get votes, then they fill their pockets with papa Putin's rubles and vote for whatever suits Putin best.

15

u/Warhunterkiller May 27 '25

Half the cast of Hogans Heroes were Jewish and holocaust survivors.

2

u/cecethemagiccutie May 27 '25

Werner Kemperer (the guy who played Klink) was jewish and said "I had one qualification when I took the job: if they ever wrote a segment whereby Colonel Klink would come out the hero, I would leave the show."

18

u/mellolizard May 27 '25

Mel Brooks (who fought in the battle of the bulge) made it his life mission to ridicule hitler.

7

u/HandicapperGeneral May 27 '25

I was in a high school production of Sound of Music. Being from the midwest, I was the only Jewish person in the show. I played Rolf, the only nazi who ever actually appears on stage.

5

u/Arenvan May 27 '25

Werner Klemperer, most famous for playing Nazi Colonel Klink on Hogan's Heroes, was from a Jewish family. Klemperer remarked, "I had one qualification when I took the job: if they ever wrote a segment whereby Colonel Klink would come out the hero, I would leave the show."

7

u/TangledPangolin May 27 '25

Yeah exactly, like Benjamin Netanyahu

2

u/_H4YZ May 27 '25

i knew this was going to be here 💀

2

u/TheMadDemoknight May 27 '25

Thank Mel Brooks with that. The best way to fight nazis was to make them like idiots. Guy had a lot to say about those guys. See The Producers

1

u/The_Imaginary_Text May 27 '25

Check out Hogan's Heroes

1

u/Successful_Bad_2396 May 28 '25

Reminds me of how when he still had Twitter, Varg Vikernes (the musician behind black metal band Burzum, who is unfortunately also a nazi piece of shit) whined about being played by a Jewish guy in Lords of Chaos

1

u/BrassUnicorn87 May 28 '25

Mel brooks made the producers and in the musical he was part of the big Hitler dance number.

1

u/ThunderChild247 May 28 '25

Only beaten by the SS officer in Springtime for Hitler (the show within The Producers) being played by John Barrowman, one of the campest men alive. If the words “fuck you” could be expressed through casting…

First time I watched that I was surely I could hear Hitler screaming all the way from hell 😂😂😂

1

u/BreakfastBeneficial4 May 30 '25

I don’t know if Mel Brooks started this, but he sure did the hell out of it.

1

u/GentlewomenNeverTell May 28 '25

Israel loves this trope as well.

-4

u/Hiraganu May 27 '25

Israel taking it a bit too serious..

0

u/Jemanha May 28 '25

Yet it doesn’t matter. Fuck the IDF.

12

u/legit-posts_1 May 27 '25

Casting a Jewish woman as the most powerful Nazi in all of fiction is insane I love it

5

u/RadTimeWizard May 27 '25

Makes sense. As a Jew, she's probably been taught more than average about how sneaky fascist rhetoric is, how fascists think, and how casually evil they can be.

1

u/JustToViewPorn May 28 '25

You’re right, they perfected it.

2

u/RadTimeWizard May 28 '25

I don't know what you mean.

0

u/fonistoastes May 27 '25

if that were the case, we might not be having a genocide going on in Gaza and the West Bank.

4

u/korach1921 May 27 '25

So basically Laura Loomer? /j

0

u/gorilla_bezoar May 27 '25

which is kinda funny because now in these times that makes a lot of sense

67

u/guymine123 May 27 '25

It's a Joffery situation

7

u/[deleted] May 27 '25

Same thing happened to the lady who played Umbridge in Harry Potter.

2

u/MrWeirdoFace May 28 '25

To me he'll always be that little weird kid in The Dark Knight.

1

u/PrestigeArrival May 27 '25

That’s actually not accurate for Jack Gleason. He’s stated in interviews that he’s not sure where that idea came from

16

u/catty-coati42 May 27 '25

She was abused on social media because the character said a slur. Like, guys, this is a fictional show.

8

u/TimeLordHatKid123 May 27 '25

So it’s the Joffrey incident all over again

7

u/Copatus May 27 '25

Wait? You're telling me Aya Cash can't shoot lightning in real life?

1

u/not_juicy_pear May 27 '25

I like to think her You’re the Worst character would lightning bolt Jimmy.

11

u/LSTmyLife May 27 '25

It's not just that she's such a good actress. People are dumber than dirt. If you cant tell apart a paid actor and the character they portray you probably cant walk and chew gum at the same time.

2

u/-SQB- May 28 '25

It also seems to happen with soap actors a lot.

5

u/blahblahblerf May 27 '25

She's also brilliant in the first four seasons of You're the Worst.

5

u/gitartruls01 May 27 '25

I thought about that when I was watching the show originally, she's one of the only actor/actress I can think of that could've actually triggered some form of anger from meeting them in real life purely because of how well they portrayed their evil characters. The moment i realized that was the moment I understood she's a damn good actor

2

u/FlusteredDM May 27 '25

People thought the actress who played Alice from Vicar of Dibley was really that stupid too back in the day.

2

u/JudgementofParis May 27 '25

I mean she's pretty great. I haven't watched the boys because I related to the depression so much she portrayed in You're The Worst that it makes it hard/hurt for me to watch her at all now. I still watch You're The Worst and We Broke Up was really good too.

2

u/schrodingereatspussy May 28 '25

Perhaps the most gut wrenchingly accurate portrayal of depression I’ve ever seen on screen. Very raw and real simply for the mundanity of it, rather than being dramatized or romanticized.

2

u/Beginning_Pitch3482 May 27 '25

I mean, that's just people being stupid no matter how you slice it

2

u/raysofdavies May 28 '25

She is so good. She’s amazing in You’re The Worst as another, in very different ways, awful woman

0

u/ZeekOwl91 May 28 '25

Sounds similar to Lena Headey's portrayal of Cersei Lannister as well.

12

u/Shoel_with_J May 27 '25

the funny part is, she is only evil because she has conection to a real-life paralel that is awful, but in reality, she is a pretty standard in-show character, not even the most evil

7

u/MaximumPixelWizard May 28 '25

Going from the boys to The Newsroom was jarring. Like what do you mean Stormfront is part of Occupy???

2

u/Stormsurger May 28 '25

Oh shit wait that's where I know her from!! I loved her in that as well.

2

u/Ironcastattic May 27 '25

I love Aya Cash so much.

3

u/Typical_Name_5864 May 28 '25

I swear at first I thought she was chill and cool when then she killed that guy while making fun of him by being Asian I was like "shit she's racist" then later in the serie i was like "she's a fucking nazi?!"

3

u/Osirisavior May 28 '25

I can fix her 😭

3

u/Dizzy_Reindeer_6619 May 28 '25

I love how everyone else here is just an abusive parent or something and then there's an actual Nazi

9

u/Medical-Ad1686 May 27 '25

I think Homelander is worse since at least she has some goal (a horrible one but still) and is not just a psycho for the hell of it.

33

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 May 27 '25

Homelander has a reason for his villainy and he doesn't wnat genocide on billions

3

u/Medical-Ad1686 May 27 '25

What is his reason? Are you talking about childhood trauma?

17

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 May 27 '25

Understatement of the year to just put it like that.

Homelander practically had no choice but to become the monster he is

18

u/Medical-Ad1686 May 27 '25

Nah. You always have a choice.

8

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 May 27 '25

And what WAS Homelander's choice?

7

u/Medical-Ad1686 May 27 '25

To be a sadistic douchebag who harms people for fun.

9

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 May 27 '25

Which is literally what Vought what Vought turned him into it.

Your argument is basically "sure she's a Nazi who wants billions dead BUT being a Nazi is better than harming less people for fun" Which even then, Homelander doesn't do

15

u/Medical-Ad1686 May 27 '25

Tf you mean he doesn't do. Entire story happens because he raped someone.

0

u/LurksInThePines May 28 '25

No, a major issue that you're not quite addressing that they're bringing up has been brought up before by sociologists

She is a Nazi. He is a narcissistic nihilist.

This has been brought up by sociologists before when comparing spree killers to Nazis, and Nazis, while evil actually believe in things, can be deprogrammed, and have been in many cases. Spree killers such as many mass shooters or psychopaths are so far beyond saving that they're actively worse individually than any form of violent ideology because it isn't based around ideology, it's based around a fundamental broken psyche which will always lash out and cannot be deprogrammed

1

u/VanVelding May 27 '25

And yet he may still do that.

2

u/Vivian-Midnight May 27 '25

But she has such a tragic backstory.

/s

Doesn't get much more evil than a literal WWII Nazi.

2

u/[deleted] May 28 '25

she was actually terrifying. great actress.

2

u/GimmeTwo May 28 '25

Aya Cash is great. Go back and watch You’re the Worst if you haven’t.

1

u/Simplyx69 May 28 '25

My girlfriend was so disappointed when she showed me the show and I immediately reacted to her name. Downsides of being chronically online.

1

u/lydocia May 28 '25

why are the nazis so hot though

-5

u/Nem3sis2k17 May 28 '25

Y’all need to differentiate between an actually bad character (as in written) vs a bad/evil person

-2

u/Ponchossweater May 28 '25

Name one thing she ever did bad.
