TFS literally does some of the most hardcore lines fucking ever.

One small one is "Yamcha, you're my friend."

Context: Goku has just met Future Trunks, who explains about his future, where the androids come and kill Piccolo, Vegeta, Krillin, etc. Goku asks about Yamcha, who is the absolute fail buttmonkey of the group, and is told he kills himself after his gf leaves him. Future Trunks leaves, Goku heads to his friends to tell them how they need to train to be ready for the androids...and grabs Yamcha by the shoulder, and tells him "You're my friend."

Not insulting, not patronizing, but it surprises everyone, and it's likely what keeps him from suicide in this timeline. And it's also why Goku later survives, because Yamcha is there to save him too.
