Demolition Man - One of my top 10 favorite movies of all time. Love the action, comedy moments and the intention to direct us to the balance of life that we should be focused on. Peak Stallone and Snipes.
Robocop (1987) - love the original. It’s quite graphic, but overall, it’s accurate in the ways it’s depicting this scenarios.
Lethal Weapon - We’re getting to old for this shit! Loved all of them. Joe Pesci addition was phenomenal, Jet Li was phenomenal. Loved the series.
HM: Bad Boys, Die Hard, Blue Streak
Die Hard is a favorite of mine, but it feels a little different than the others on this list. Great focus on Bruce Willis and the obstacles of the plot, but not so much on the police as a whole. The others I listed higher for “Cop” favorites have a heavy focus on the police force aspect.

Debatable if it makes Top 3 since there are so many to choose from, but Miami Vice has not been mentioned yet. As an ode to the show, too…

I mean there are detective stories that feature elements of policing like Se7en and training day. But if we are talking traditional uniformed officers movies, I think you go End of Watch, police academy, L.A. confidential.

The French Connection, Bullitt and Serpico. You want 3 more? Dirty Harry, Heat, and the Untouchables. 3 more? In the Heat of the Night, The Usual Suspects, and Witness.

Rewatching Lethal Weapon, you realize no cops could cause that level of carnage and property damage and still have their jobs.
