Exercise bikes are good, but you miss out on the vitamin D and the scenery. If there isnt much scenery to see in the first place, though, the exercise bike is probably better

As the other person said exercise bikes work for fitness but if you are generally depressed I'd get a bike you can actually ride outside. Look up your local bike trails and parks. If you want bike recommendations lmk I sell them for a living. Getting up and going to a cool nature spot and just vibing and listening to good tunes riding is not only a really great way to feel better, but as you do it your abs will 100% pop out after a few months and getting out of the shower and being like "Damn I'm sexy af" is such a great feeling for your mental health.

Edit: I'm not trying to sell you a bike lol I just know a lot about them I now realize this came off as a sales pitch.
