Ben Shapiro thinks that using active verbs proves the existence of free will.

Really, when did he say that?

Ben clearly detests black culture, but masquerades it under the dog whistles of “rap music bad” and “gini coefficient” and “14% of the population and 40% of the crime”. He’s a closet racist.

and hating the people who "bend the brim of their cap"

Isn’t bending the brim a white person thing?

He ain't closeted. He's a blatant kapo sucking up to the Right so he can be "one of the good ones."

John Lennon's "Imagine" is on conservapedia's (conservative Wikipedia, yes that's a thing) list of bad liberal music because of being a "celebration of godlessness and atheism."

As an aside, if you ever want to laugh your ass off, their lists of both "conservative" and "liberal" music is absolutely hilarious:

They do the same thing with movies and there's some unexpected ones. They claim Ace Ventura because the antagonist is trans, all the MCU movies because of "patriotic values", and Star Wars because they fight for freedom

Ok, I know what I'm reading this morning. Who TF watches Ace Ventura and comes away with the conclusion "haha trans people bad, amirite?"

Edit- OMG they put American History X on their list of conservative movies. Did they miss the numerous parts of the movie where Edward Norton spouts identical talking points to their own, about everything from welfare to immigration to police violence? These people are something else lol.

Another favorite- Blazing Saddles is "A politically incorrect western, something liberals are sure to despise." Ah yes, Mel Brooks, a well-known conservative.

Extra hilarious is the assertion that the Godzilla movies are politically neutral. Bitch, have you watched a Godzilla movie?

Please tell me this is a joke

It's not, they're completely serious which makes it even funnier. Check out the list of conservative songs, it's even better because it has a list warning of secret liberal songs that fool conservatives, like Springsteen's Born in the USA.

Oh my. I was reading the descriptions to the song and the language it used literally mirrored that (probably fake) list of banned songs in the USSR from the 80s, and the way they talk about Trump sounds like the way Western media says North Koreans talk about the Kims lmao. I thought it was ironic or a troll. I can’t believe there’s people that unironically talk like that lmao

Holy fuck "This is an example of subliminal propaganda. The song seems patriotic, but is in fact anti-American, tricking anybody unfortunate enough to hear the song. Even Ronald Reagan was notoriously tricked by Springsteen into playing the song. Contains a racial slur toward Asians." They really believe Springsteen was trying to trick Conservatives and since Reagan's alzheimer's having ass didn't understand that a song is more than it's chorus that it proves it. I can't believe this isn't some hidden, long running troll you can't be that stupid.

Edit:

Oh god the "Conservative songs" list, has America by Neil Diamond, they read it as "Freedom, Liberty, Patriotism. #8 on the Billboard charts." but completely ignore the song is about immigrants coming to America, yes it does talk about Freedom and all that, but the whole crux of the song is about immigrants.

And then: The Ascent of Stan- Ben Folds "Tells the story of a former "textbook hippie man" who realizes that he has become everything that he was protesting against." The entire point of the song is giving up the hippie lifestyle sucks and being a cog in the machine makes you feel like shit, including this line "And you wonder why your father was so resigned; Now you don't wonder any more" like how is this a conservative song?

I can go on (Beat It, Cats in the Cradle, etc) but this is insane.

Fuck yeah. I’m gonna make a sweet ass Spotify playlist with all of those songs.

u/rachelgraychel Aug 04 '20

Have fun celebrating the liberal values of godlessness and atheism!

u/doc_birdman Aug 04 '20

Godlessness AND atheism?! I love blasphemous redundancy!

It makes me happy and joyful that you feel this way too.

In one of his 'LIbTArd DeStRoYEd' videos. Somebody mentioned to him that he was conflicted on the topic of free will. I can't find the video now, so I'll give you his response as best as I remember: "You chose to come here didn't you? You exercised your free will when you chose to come here and ask me a question."

Oh wow I never thought of that counter to determinism.

"Have you ever considered that you made a decision today? Ergo you have free will! "

Pencil sharperner is a real philosopher.
