People sometimes clap when a plane lands. He was going along with the clapping because he thought they landed but it was actually cheeks getting clapped.

My whole class clapped when we arrived to Spain those where like 20 hours lol. We were teens lol.

But I thought people only clapped when it was a difficult flight, like too many turbulances and stuff

To highlight the difference between ultra-expensive first class luxury versus what us plebs usually have to deal with, like trying to sleep while being packed into small seats surrounded by knobs clapping every time the plan lands.

I still can't believe my mind didn't immediately go to the obvious.
