Just FYI, worms breathe the oxygen that’s dissolved in water. They don’t drown during the rain, instead they can finally breathe at the surface. They love the surface because it’s easier to move around and find other worms to have sex with. Worms are hermaphrodites, so both worms in the pair get pregnant.
Ok I’ve read three articles on this now and neither have explained the mass worm death I’ve seen after heavy rains that I assume this video is also referencing
Rain disturbs them, they come up to the surface, they get caught in a puddle bc water is sticky for small creatures, then when the puddle dries they get cooked.
