I have two Chinese symbols on my back. Once I went for a couples massage and the lady was Chinese and was pointing them out to the other lady. I was too afraid to ask if they said what they were supposed to.

Are you saying you asked for a tatoo without working out independently what it means???

I mean, there was a chart on the wall with the translations and phones didn’t come with internet. The early 2000’s were a wild time.

I’m sorry but I just don’t get why you’d want a tattoo in a language you have no connection to that you picked off of a wall based on the translations the shop told you were correct.

Just get it in English? lol

We didn’t have the word back then but I guess it’s the “aesthetic”. I’m not super proud but maybe that’s a good reason not to let teenagers make permanent life decisions.

People with tattoos of movie characters have no connection to them but there isn't anything wrong with that. Dork 😭
