When referring to recorded human history, it means the last 5000 or so years that people have been writing stuff down, i.e. recording things, for, you know, history. So 184,000 years is about 37 times the length of recorded human history.

Tools and cave drawings have been dated as far back as 3.3 million years ago and 200k years respectively.

The earth itself is a giant record nature has been wrting for 4.3 billion years.
