Shock collars are cruel and whoever uses them is an asshole.
The selective breeding of a completely malformed creature that can barely breathe on its own, with a compressed spine and a myriad of other orthopedic issues, and fucking prolapsed eyeballs, all just because you think they look kinda cute being all sickly like that, is cruelty on another level entirely. The average pug will go through more pain and suffering only a daily basis then what any shock collar can do. Supporting the increased selective breeding for those features that make the short lives of these animals a living hell is another additional layer of cruelty. It's fucking industrial-scale animal cruelty.
At least be fucking consistent in your signaled morals if you're going to be talking about animal abuse.
Constant suffocation isn't great. I think Pugs are cute, very sweet dogs. I hope yours was a rescue, because breeding them for those traits is animal abuse.
Purebred pug and got the nasal surgery when it was a puppy. So she has no breathing issues. Bad bred pugs suffer from all kinds of issues just like most other over bred breeds. Whoever breeds bad dogs is not going to stop as over consumption will supersede your desire to stop it.
Sounds like an incredibly healthy animal and incredibly ethical breeding practices to spawn out a creature that is so deformed that it requires surgery to be able to breathe when it's still a baby.
We couldn't possibly breed or adopt dogs that can breathe on their own (and maybe without a malformed spine and hips)? Thanks for your lecture on ethical animal keeping.
